The show is just so makjang and the plot so ridiculously twisted it is hilariously comedic.๐คฃ๐ญ
For the so called smarts of the "righteous team" : Dir. Moon , Lucia they aren't very smart. The real "smarts" is actually Attorney Kim!๐คฃ๐ญ Who by the way has way too much time on his hands for a so called lawyer ; he should switch jobs!
And I guess you really can't trust anyone.. Stella now backstabs Lucia , Dir. Moon out of nowhere but I have a suspicion she might be faking it. If so why hide it from Tae Joo?
And geez is Min Doo Sik gonna stay in coma forever or are they gonna bring him back to life in finalรฉ?!๐คฃ๐ญ I still think Se Ri is Lucia's as she herself feel kinship towards her and note she reminds her of someone, not to mention the shared shellfish allergy. Same with Attorney Kim, Seri and him are lefties , he feels familiarity with her as well.
Wooyoung from panel is in his late 30s but seem clueless af.
Ye Eun - I don't get it. What did she expect from asking? I mean seriously tsk. And Sang Won is truly beyond irredeemable ๐ฎโ๐จ
Both he and Sang Hyun were very chatty when all four had that conversation where they were trying to deduce the ladies' age/ occupation etc I also felt the two sounded like they were nitpicking๐ช
I really like Hyeon Jun a lot and I secretly want him to give Bon Hee a shot as well but he looks dead set on Yeong Gyeong. They both are quite similar in personalities
The pics Bon Hee took of Mu Jin were awesome. I like them both too but he seems really young.. although he has more composure and possibly maturity than say Sang Hyun & Sang Won.
Oohh there's a new guy ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ผ I feel for Ji Won it's like none of the guys seem to be seeing her as romantic interest? I think she handled herself really well during breakfast and again during the date with Sang Hyun. Hopefully the new guy might be the one๐ค๐ผ๐ฅฐ
This show is a mess and yet I cannot stop watching!๐๐
It's baffling to me that Stella never thought to get Se Ri's DNA tested before??!!๐
I have a feeling Se Ri might be Seul Hee/ Lucia's birth daughter who is alive. Oh the cruel joke on Kyung Chae if that were true! And Kyung Chae for a CEO she ain't that bright is she?๐ But so is the entire Min family ๐ in particular Ji Seop , his wife and in laws ; they are like a bunch of dimwits
And is the actor playing the patriarch Min Doo Sik having issues or conflict with writers or what ๐ he spends most of his time either locked away held against his will or in coma!
Urg the dad๐ฎโ๐จ I get he means well but at the same time Jung Won is an adult and am sure she is smart enough to know what she was getting herself into.. the dad is just getting not just himself into further trouble but jeopardizing his daughter's safety as well.๐ช
Chairwoman Gong's right hand man Manager Gu is a hoot๐ but poor dude he is used by both mother and daughter to carry out their bidding.
Se Hoon's dad is also evil..
Don't feel bad for Young Chae at all, she is such a hateful character but just goes to show the actress is doing a good job.๐
Gotta feelin' Ji Won's the oldest as she seem to be not just mature looking but she has very definite ideas on what she wants. She is also effortlessly confident.
Coincidentally these two are roomies. Will there be a love triangle between the ladies and Mu Jin?
I knew Sang Won would receive 0 votes as he came off kinda cocky? And sorta dull also. The wine opener fail was his undoing๐๐ and what's with the remarks of his past relationships with younger women being mentally unstable?!
And Hye Jin always make these shows more juicy and entertaining with her commentary..
Yikes๐ฌ Noone is likable on this drama except maybe for Joo Ha Neul.๐
Oddly I find the actors playing Se Hoon , Se Mi have better chemistry with e.o. than him with Not-Joo Young Chae and that's funny as they are supposed to be lovers๐คฃ๐ญ
Sheesh Chairwoman Gong is a thug๐ her style is also reflective of that. I really like the actress playing Jung Won/ Soo Ah's bio mom Han Hye Ra.
Am so anxious now with more secrets and lies piling up with each ep. but am also rooting for Not-Young Chae to succeed as well.
Real rich for Young Chae to now whine everything is stolen from her tsk.๐
My heart broke for Qin Nan as he avenged on behalf of Si Bei.. he was the pillar for Si Bei and her family; always keeping them united and noone even bothered on how he was doing as a person.. except for Si Bei of course
I felt the last ep with both driving towards the light at end of tunnel would have made for a solid finalรฉ
Regardless this & "A Better Life" are the standout cdramas for me this year. This was a good drama with a good solid cast.
Ep. 10 PheW that was such a raw but tender moment shared by Nan & Si Bei. He's so patient , kind , empathetic. Am glad his own dysfunctional family didn't break him and he turned out to be a decent human being.
As for Si Bei's parents : yikes.
Her mom is in urgent need of therapy and the father is just useless despite being a scholar / teaching background ; such narrow views! Can't believe he blame his failures on wife & daughter
On the other , am relieved that Nian Wen has smartened up - better late than never hahah. That was so low what Shu Hui did.
Someone please explain; how did that pervert rapist record her then save it and put it away in a frame, like he…
It looked more like he knew his wife had the know-how / resources to edit / fabricate the flash drive to manipulate the verdict to their favor as they have more at stake to lose with their company business and all
Now, here comes the treachery. Never trust those close to you. Teaser Ep 11https://wetv.vip/en/play/5vcm77eyxqvo94z/s4101ynx7eg-Teaser_EP11%3A_Light_Beyond_the_ReedTeaser…
Thanks for sharing
I never had a good feeling on Chu Chu. Just the fact alone she left Si Bei intoxicated and alone in that bastard's car was bad judgment on her part.
I'm a little confused about their relationship, were they on a blind date and then got married?Because it feels…
Hahah๐ those were my thoughts too!๐ฏ
The way I see it, Nan possibly had a crush on Si Bei since their school days? And he saw her by chance at a cafรฉ & pursued her? Hopefully in upcoming ep. they will reveal more.
As for their divorce , it looks like he's disappointed that Si Bei allow herself to be pushed round by her family when that's not the case as filial piety is very revered in asian countries.
Love the height difference between Si Bei & Nan๐ฅฐ๐ซถ๐ผ
Nan is also instrumental in Si Bei's newfound courage in standing up against the shaming , slander..
Unbelievable that women including Si Bei's own mom , the female superior at the toxic workplace and even the wife of the perpetrator all urge Si Bei to stop pursuing and drop the charges immediately.
I've watched 8 ep. and can't wait for remaining 10 ep. This drama is at times very hard to stomach as it deals with a very real and heavy topic.
Here's hoping Si Bei gets her justice & that she with Nan find peace , happiness.
Watched 28 ep. Much preferred the first 14, 15 ep. Not a fan of entire Shanghai arc - it's starting to drag for me.. it was thanks to Tony Yang's portrayal of Wen Zhi that made it all the more enjoyable to watch.
And urgh why did the useless older bro Shao Zhong , the bloody wife and the nephew had to show up again?! The audacity & entitlement of the sis in law.๐ค
I don't know why but I get the late hubs Da Shun with Shao.Zhong mixed up.๐ The actors closely resemble e.o.๐
Erniu and Shao Hua have terrible luck in their romantic relationships. Felt Xia Chu was very boring and underwhelming.
8 ep. in & I'm fuming over the useless Er Shun and insufferable but silly mother in law who by the way is the actress using prosthetics?๐ Her face look funny.๐
My heart breaks for Shao Hua over loss of Da Shun - what a great man.. with 30 ep. remaining I bet it will be a tough journey ahead
Thank goodness I wasn't born during this era , I would've never survived! Though it is now 2025 I am sure there are still practices of filial piety , patriarchy & misogyny running rampant in households and at workplaces etc.
Only watched one ep. and it is giving me *Nothing Gold Can Stay* vibes and am surprised Betty Sun didn't sign up for the lead role. She's known for portraying independent , witty , female roles.
Urgh typical setup, to settle debts the single woman is to be married off to wealthy families.
I can already foresee the sis in law will be a pain in the ๐ can't wait for Tony Yang's appearance. Loved 'im ever since *Pursuit of Happiness*.
Iโm glad she was very successful in her career in the endโshe truly deserves it. However, I didnโt like…
Am not sure if it's a conscious choice on Sun Li's part but she plays strong empowered female characters that often end up alone. And I understand it though.๐
The ml here was underwhelming. I felt he was better off her comrade and platonic friend than romantic soulmate. Also Xiao Zhou lost his beloved mom & Man Li was maternal towards 'im(?)
Overall another gem from Sun Li. She rarely disappoints. I would think she has a savvy eye much like Park Eun Bin.
I loved how even in his condition, Man Li's father still remembered her b'day. That was so heartwarming as well as the security guard's final wish to have a room with a window..
Li Su seriously needs psychiatric help.
And am glad Xiao Zhou gave up his job 'cause of his principles.
Many worthy life lessons. Definitely worth a rewatch

Watched only 1 ep and it reminds me of k-drama, "Marry My Husband".
There's chemistry between the leads๐๐ซถ๐ผ The ex look more handsome without that ridiculous mullet!๐
Reba is trying out varying roles and out of her comfort zone which is a nice change.
She also wears minimal makeup. I enjoy the cases here , plot moves along fast and the frustrations of the victims & their families are palpable.
Looking forward to more.
Poor Tao Hua havin' to survive the Chancellor , his harem and other palace politics. . It's like she's trained for MI6 ๐
