For some reason I never was intrigued to watch Gulinazha's dramas before. This one is the first and honestly she exceeded my expectations with her role here in this drama. She nailed the regal vibe of Rong Shan Bao!
I love the depth of scheming this drama had. All the characters were scheming and some unexpected twits as well which made the plot/storyline very interesting to watch. The only thing I felt like lacking was the chemistry between the two leads. The leads both nailed their role and did amazing, but I didn't have that "heartwarming" feeling seeing their romance play on screen. How did Rong Shan Bao even fall in love with him? Nevertheless, wonderful drama that highlights the plot and schemes well!

I haven't watched TBOY or DY yet so I watched BR with a blank slate. I was a bit confused when they mentioned other characters but I grew to really love all the members of Blood River. I really really love this cdrama and want to watch the other two now, but am worried it will spoil the blood river characters for me as I've heard they're the villain 😅
Anyway everyone please give this drama a watch. It deserves much higher ratings!
Came to watch BR because of Peng Xiao Ran! Still watching currently, but I'm loving this drama so far--very well executed! I was hoping she would be coupled with Gong Jun but I'm still happy with the cast. Can't wait to finish this!!
