Sometimes I think about how this plot sounded absurd when the drama aired, we even got surprised by how things evolved, but nowadays - 6 years after, everything the drama is talking about sounds so real, it was really ahead of its time. Makes me feel glad that I watched it in 2020.
I have mixed feelings about this series despite its high rating it shows some flaws. Pond and Phuwin is just one…
the plot is their romance saga in the middle of whatever is happening in their profissional life
at first thee is seem as a very brutal figure, who scares and push people away. thee is used to people only accepting to get close to him as a favor or for his social status, and he has a hard time communicating because he lives alone and only watches lakorn. when he meets peach, he gets intrigued because peach doesn't know who he is, so, he tells him the truth in how his behaviour is awful and how he should start to act better if he wants people to care for him. it's the first person to treat him with that kind of honesty and with kindness somehow. after learning who thee actually is, peach continues to show up because he is afraid of retaliation, but then he starts to see the side of thee that no one ever saw, because thee kinda let his guard down in front of him. when peach loses his fear for thee and talks to mok about thee's weaknesses, he doesn't only start to help him to walk for a happy ending, but he also includes him in his life. that's when he slowly fall in love.
peach is someone who always had to take care of his family and put others first, and he was never happy in love because people got tired of his lifestyle what always made him close his heart even more... suddenly he met someone who is dedicated to protect him and his family forever, but also thinks he is the most fascinating person ever.
they both enter each other's life showing the beauty of the other side and they get together to a wonderful spot where both of them can feel loved, seem and comfortable being themselves like they were never before.
of course a lot of things were rushed by in the drama or not well portrayed, but it's truly a love story with many comedic aspects that keep their love alive and highlights their growth, it's the center of their journey.
I only wanted to say the bright colors aesthetic in this drama is beautiful and I really hope the director continues using this aesthetic for his next and the next projects as well. That said, last episode was so SAD, in the best way possible. I'm so glad it's PerthSanta doing this story, they are wonderful.
I agree 100%. Tim has made zero sacrifices in order to win Pai back. Yu slept in a playpen, helped with North's…
Yes, believe me I wish it was deeply solved too. But aside from disliking Tim not giving Pai space to breathe and being toxic in the process of winning him back, I really think things were developed in character for now. 3 episodes is a long way to go, hope you end up enjoying the resolution for both couples.
I agree 100%. Tim has made zero sacrifices in order to win Pai back. Yu slept in a playpen, helped with North's…
Because like I said to you, that's the plot of the drama. We already know the scam is happening since the first episode and decided to watch anyways.
The turning point and magic of the story was when Tim gave up the scam to follow his true feelings for Pai and now we are at the part 2, when everyone discovers the truth and handle it.
No one is mad at Pai for not forgiving Tim, come on.... There are people thinking he forgave him too fast, that he should be foccusing on himself like you said and calling their relationship toxic, but people are also understanding why he would still love Tim even tho he is hurt and looking for the person he loved in Tim's new persona. Who is trying to be loved back.
I agree 100%. Tim has made zero sacrifices in order to win Pai back. Yu slept in a playpen, helped with North's…
Hmmmm, I think comparing Yu and Tim is not the best thing for you to do because they are different people in different situations. Since the beggining we know Yu's situation is easier to handle because he and North have time to build a new story together. But even though Tim's situation is more complicated to forgive, Pai knows a part of him for a long time and have strong feelings for that part of a person.
I think suing his mom was really hard for Yu, but Yu already got many chances to have a close with his mom and she was always like that for him, Tim still hopes for his family. Yu loves his mom, but the money was stolen from him, it's his right. It's not the same as the idea of having a happy family reunited after debt pay that Tim still holds in his heart.
The debt won't hurt Pai as long as Tim can handle that with his best lawyer friend, we really need to be this realistic watching comedies?
I think Pai explained well that he was trying to move on from Tim (and we can totally question his idea of meeting random people at the same day and giving no room to develop feelings for them), but in the end, Pai wanted to fall for someone at first sight like with Tim. He even wonders if he would fall for the real Tim if they met that day.
As for Tim not being worthy of Pai because he has no career, well... really? We really need to be this realistic watching comedies?
I agree 100%. Tim has made zero sacrifices in order to win Pai back. Yu slept in a playpen, helped with North's…
I agree with you that Pai should be seeing a therapist and foccusing on his self esteem after the break up and that the proximity with Tim is toxic for him.
Also, I'm not the one to defend a character in the wrong like Tim, but we all know it's a happy ending kind of story, so, since the first episode I'm more on the side of trying to understand why Tim should be forgiven and why Pai would still want to be with him after knowing the truth, if you know what I mean.
You said Tim have made zero sacrifices, but what more was he in power to do? How is he making Pai's family to forgive him? So, he offered his comfort house (that you called stupid because you didn't pay attention to the meaning it has for Tim, since it's the only thing he was left with by his parents) for them to stay, took a loan on his car to have some money for them, he also started to work at their cafe to help and even tho he was a little dramatic about signing the divorce papers, he was never against that knowing that would harm Pai's future chances. I hate that he can't give Pai any space and I have some issues with the portrayal of that in some scenes, but we can't deny he is trying to be close to Pai because he worries for him, cares for his well being and that Tim's feelings for him are good now, he loves Pai even tho he hurt him a lot. Also, besides Pai, Tim also has nobody for him right now. Think about it.
So, from the first day trying to understand why this relationship would be an endgame: I think Pai really trusts Tim feelings for him and is amused by it, and that once he was told the truth from the sugar mommies, he was disappointed in him and super mad that he did what he did, but he is not questioning Tim feelings for him because he feels sincerity in it.
Pai has no one but North by his side right now, but Tim never left him. I think that means a lot for Pai, and just the same as Yu and North, Pai knows Tim will not betray him again.
I'm not here to change your mind or anything, but I think it's a little pointless to have so much hate for a character that will have a happy ending in 3 episodes. I think everything since the wedding is on character and I LOVE that in the last episode instead of saying "I love you Pai, It's okay if you never trust my words again", like in the novel, Tim listened to Pai's confession and said "I'm sorry. You can hate me to the rest of our lives because I'll be here for you". It's honest, reception of his feelings, warmth and love.
Hope when Pai is rich again, he can have therapy sessions weekly. Good night.
I can’t say I didn’t like the drama, because I really did. If anything, the frustration hits harder because it had the potential to be so much more than what we got. The casting was excellent, and a lot of the scenes were well executed visually. But I really felt like the story lacked depth and immersion, it never fully pulled the audience in the way it could have.
I know that even in the novel the plot doesn’t really lead Jade and Kamin to solve the case, so there wasn’t much to do. Still, I can’t help but think that with a stronger creative team and direction, this detail-rich plot could have been elevated into something.
I genuinely believe that when adapting a story for television, the screenwriter and director need to reshape it for audiovisual, even if that means making changes or creating new scenes. The only real change was moving up Jade and Kamin’s relationship and adding them into the card game. But it was obvious that JoongDunk’s chemistry was toned down, and honestly, that felt unnecessary.
In the end, I’d give the drama an 8. It’s just a shame, because it had the potential to be so much more.
let me put this very straight..if you are an accomplice to r*pe, it makes you a r*pist, and the thing that is…
If it helps, Jay consequence was toned down a lot. He is shoot by Puth to agonize watching the videos of his friends dying. He only survived because Kamin got him in time and stop the blood until help arrives. He developed many traumas, panic attacks and see the people dead next to him even 4 years after the things happened. He is forever reminded in life of what happened and how he turned a blind eye to his friends' action. People even question him if he isn't seeking for isolament at the clinics because he thinks he deserves a punishment too.
Before I say anything else, I enjoyed the show. I usually cringe at romcoms and prefer mature BLs but this one…
I wonder If things would change If they got the audience reception before they wrecked the shooting process. Because even tho I still like the show as a whole and can appreciate It as It was, there were some weak resolutions and unnecessary plots in the final episodes, like usual in dramas. I wonder if knowing how popular it got, they would prepare a more thoughtful ending. I really hope they put hardwork and inspiration in Peach and Me, and that it's not only a money grab special.
Honestly can't get into bls lately Do anyone have recs like MAT?Also I want peach and me like right now.
It's hard to rec anything like MAT yet, it was very unique, one of a kind. I'm having a good time with My Romance Scammer and Cat For Cash, but there is nothing similar plotwise.
