This was so soft in all the right ways. I liked that they didn't make it a whole thing about him being mafia -…
If that ease your mind, in the novel once Peach and Thee start dating, one of the first things Peach does is taking him to the orphanage to show him the kids and say he intends to adopt both of them one day, in the drama, the orphanage was early introduced but not his adopting plans. Thee agrees with the idea at the moment and he is only worried about the kids not liking him as their dad. There is no such thing as Mhok and Marn being adopted by anyone else before or any mistreatment storyline, so, in my mind they did talk about adopting them both, or wanting to, when Marn was back to foster care hurt. We only didn't see that. I confess that I was expecting the show to add Peach talking about this dream, because in the novel it feels like it's Peach biggest goal, to have a stable life to be a safe home for the kids one day.
Hallo, ich hab erste Folge angeschaut und es gefällt mir nicht. Ich find es ist nicht lustig und irgendwie spüre…
So, you say all that confidently and not even Thame Po got your kudos when you were arguing with me about the best BLs? I will really believe you're just tasteless HAHAHA
I haven’t watched it, but I’m wondering whether it’s worth it since I connect less with this couple. The…
I didn't watch all PondPhuwin works, but I feel like it's pretty different from their previous shows. Pond is carrying the lead, the dramatic comedy, strong lines and somehow, the lightness of the show too, while Phuwin is a very mundane and calm person, a very kind and discreet character, it's very different from the immature and reactive characters he always portray.
As for other shows like this, it's hard to compare Me and Thee to anything I have ever watched in BL until now, if you check the rec list here in MDL people only put previous shows from the couples in it and nothing much that gives the same vibe. It's unique.
I think my best encouragement for you to decide if you'll be watching or not is to watch the official trailer and see if it makes some noise in your heart, so you'll know if that's your kind of humour. I knew from the first pilot that I would love it, I even went to read the novel to be prepared for 2 months of broadcasting!
If you're used to soap operas/telenovelas or if you can connect to that feeling, you'll like, because that show feels like an homage to lakorns. But don't worry, it's not only absurd and dramatic everytime, there are so many beautiful scenes, the couple care about each other in a genuine way and they grow together and comunicate well in their relationship, always. They bring the best of each other too, it's really a feel good drama.
I really hope you can watch and like as much as a lot of us, but if you don't think it's your cup of tea, it's okay too.
PS: I want you to know that apart from a few scenes that happened in ep9 that felt a little rushed, everyone that enjoyed the show since the first episodes continued to enjoy until now. It's pretty solid and well done.
Glad you finally got to the conclusion that not liking Me and Thee is mostly a you problem ! Hope you find a next…
I saw how you started this conversation last week, you've been here camping for a while now. I think you evolved your thinking to understand that some people will enjoy this show but you didn't.
Does anyone know if this is a hit in Thailand too for GMMTV?
I think we can say so! Locals are loving the lakorn references and even some kpop artists doing concert in Bangkok were reciting Khun Thee lines for their audience. I also remember Pond saying that people are stopping and calling him Khun Thee on streets 🥹
i hope it stays like that for a while, it deserves so much love!
