Congrats. Although, what bothers me is this line, not in this article, but in her mdl page description:"She is…
IMO, and my guess, the East Asians are kinda obsessed with ageism, and reading that a famous actress getting married to a "younger" non-celebrity businessman is kind of achievement for her. Sometimes when I hang out with fellow east asians, and ladies start to gossip, most frequent hot gossip is "Oh! she is dating/engaged to/getting or married to a younger man of blah, blah, blah years younger than her! Wow! (fake swoon! envy galore!); how does she do it? She must look so young! did she use Botox? cosmetic surgery? must be lah...blah, blah, blah...." Therefore, in context, the reporter wanted to say that Cha Chung Hwa is really lucky to get and getting married to a "younger" man than her...LOL... :D In honestly, I wish Cha Chung Hwa the best wishes and happiness in her marriage and may they live happily ever after... :))
FINALLY, AFTER MONTHS OF WAITING, I SAW IT POSTED ON SOME STREAMING WEBSITE... My apologies for the capital letters. I was just excited to finally be able to watch this Japanese movie... LOL I have been watching the anime version on Netflix and their story is so beautiful. I was hoping the Japanese producers will make a live action drama of the anime, but this movie is still good enough for me.
I am going to watch this drama just for Dai Gao Zheng only.... Hahahaha... anyway, since I like Zhao Lu Si as an actress (I love her in Love Like the Galaxy), I will watch this drama too. Somehow, IMO, I don't find Yang Yang imposing enough as a super martial arts hero; maybe my image of him in Love 020 drama has biased my opinion. But anyways, since I am in between dramas at this moment, let me start watching this drama after putting it off for such a long time.... LOL.
After watching Jang Ok Jung drama, I am afraid to watch this Dong Yi drama, because I liked the backstory of Queen In Hyun/Jang Hui Bin before she was known as a villain queen. I always say that villains are not born but made. Even though I read that Dong Yi/Suk Bin is a nice person and she helped to overthrow the "cruel evil" Jang Hui Bin, I am not sure I want to spend my time watching 60 episodes of an old historical drama filmed in the 2010s....LOL
My understanding of mini-series is based on the chinese mini-series, where each episode is short - such as 5 minutes/episode to max. 15 minutes/episodes. I hope this is not what the K-drama is going to do because watching mini-series is such a pain....LOL
Wow, I am glad they replace the ML (Eun Seom), actor Song Joong Ki with Lee Joon Gi because now that character has more charisma and more lit on screen... LOL. Song Joong Ki, with his baby face, doesn't seem to fit a fierce-fighting charismatic warrior persona (IMO). Now Lee Joon Gi, with his intense look, strong built and agile fighting strength, suits the fierce fighting Eun Seom. Now, I feel like I really want to watch Arthdal Chronicles.... LOL
Must watch Episode 25 !! *Wow* - that steamy scene between the ML & FL with real hot passionate kissing and make-out session!! That's really very rare in C-drama land; I was hot and bothered just watching them !! LOL !! I wonder if the censors were sleeping or on holiday when this drama was allowed to air.... Not that I minded. It was also a beautiful love scene between 2 people who loved each other and survived what hell could have thrown at them and they came out alive. I wish more C-drama could have these passionate scenes between lovers-couples. LOL....
I currently at the beginning of episode 5 and I'm really upset with the FL. Like does she not understand that…
I agree that the FL was inconsiderate to him when they returned to the modern world. Maybe she is revenging herself because he treated her badly when she first met him. Remember he thought she was an assassin and locked her up, etc. So she’s taking the pleasure of seeing him uncomfortable in her modern world.
I like the look of the ML here. His look resembles the ML in The Starry Love, especially his lovely hair and his body built. I hope to see more of this actor in the future because he is a good actor with great looks.
Somehow I find her bickering to be annoying and over the top. The ML is cool and collected and he is following his father’s instructions not to demolish the shrine but the FL is inconsiderate and rude. She just wants to finish her mission for her own selfish reasons. I don’t know why Kdramas always portrayed so-called strong feminist FLs as annoying, stubborn and petty. There are better ways of portraying strong FLs. Sigh!! I’m just talking to the moon for all I care. Anyway, these are my own opinions
I have watched up to 6 episodes, and somehow, I don't see any onscreen chemistry between the ML & FL. Oh well, let me push onwards because I like Rowoon.
I have watched both dramas, Meet Yourself and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (HTCCC), and I don't see any familiarity in their story lines, other than a burnt-out city person who moved to a quiet village to recuperate. There are so many dramas and movies with such similar premise; does that mean all these dramas and movies are plagiarising HTCCC? To be honest, I like Meet Yourself more because it tells the story of a quiet yet charming village trying to survive in modern times (due to young people moving to the cities to work, and only the old people and children left behind) and how the villagers work hard to have environmental tourism to attract business (+ money) to their small sleepy village. Meanwhile HTCCC is about a seaside village that became a cure and new home for a brokenhearted FL who met a jolly jack-of-all-trades with a broken secret. That's my summary of these 2 different dramas. LOL....
I’ve just finished this drama and I felt exhausted after finishing the last episode. LOL. I noticed that the ML was shot on his left shoulder and I am sure was not death threatening. Hence, it’s possible that he is still alive and came back to see her after 5 years in hiding. Maybe there will be a S2 after all. LOL.
In honestly, I wish Cha Chung Hwa the best wishes and happiness in her marriage and may they live happily ever after... :))
