I just want this show to mislead the audience thinking that Nam Goong Min is not the killer, but at last shock the audience saying that all of this was his plan and he is the real killer too. I think it's about time we get a Protagonist who isn't just a good guy, something like What Shah Rukh Khan did in Don. A Guy with desire.
I feel like you'll love tge OSTs of A Piece of Your mind. The drama is criminally Underrated and has a small fanbase. But, let me assure you, the feeling that thr drama gives is unparalleled.
I really loved this drama in the beginning. It was different, intriguing, and dark at the same time. However, like all the other kdramas of 2020, towards the middle it lost it's charm. A drama which could've been something a lot darker and thought provoking became somewhat of a predictable type of drama. For me, it felt like kind of a disappointment and the initial eow factor was replaced with predictable plot. There was a real potential inmy opinion to call out on the witch hunting behaviour of the public, but a drama which could've been something like that was turned into just another serial killer covering up drama.
My love Son Ye Jin is a greatest Korean actress, and honestly speaking she has best co-star in her journey of…
Same here, I was literally burdened with work while I kept it all aside to watch OSN, and at the time of watching SITR I almost danced to the OSTs of that drama, whenever I hear them. They just leave a lasting impression on your heart.
I really love this list. It was nice to someone appreciate these dramas as much as i do. I'm on my 5th re-watch…
Just tell me some good dramas without love triangles. I am all out of dramas without Love triangles. Nowadays they tend to put in triangles a lot. Not just triangle, sometimes quadrilaterals, Pentagons, Hexagons and even octagons. It's like some plague in kdrama or something, so much widely spread.
In my opinion, they should've extended the ending. It felt like at tge ending stage they had actually overcome…
I loved almost all of them, except for Familiar Wife which I felt really weird and git angry with it for the making a Love triangle in it. I was like, why do they have to do it, the friend was perfectly happy with his own wife, but they just shoved in a love triangle in to your throat (because kdrama, huh). Also, I've already seen Go Back Couple, which kind of had a similar type of a story, but it's about time travel, as both the leads goes back in time, it was soo good that I was kind of comparing them with each other. As for The light in Your Eyes, the drama is in my watch list and will definitely watch it one day. I loved SITR. I still didn't appreciate the way they did the ending. It seemed to have been added as an after…
In my opinion, they should've extended the ending. It felt like at tge ending stage they had actually overcome their flaws and they actually started to see each other as equals. Before that point, Jin Ah sees herself as an older sister and Joon Hee was actually a person who is like a younger brother who wants to protect his loved ones, but is actually afraid inside, that is why he chose to run away. Then towards the end they started to see each other as equals. If the writer had actually focused on it I think that it would've been a lot better.
Why tvN cut until episode 12 only for A Piece Of Your Mind? I wanted more episodes actually. That drama makes…
The Reason was because of Low Ratings, Apparently koreans don't enjoy much of a Slow burn type of Romance and that made them cut the episode count. It was a Show for the international Audience, and If they had released it in Netflix, I am 100% sure that it would've been a Massive hit.
I personally feel like the Second lead cliché is a lot overused. I feel like the writers are introducing Second leads because they are not confident enough in their writing skills to keep us entertained with the Main lead Romance and hence they just tie in a Second lead to fill in the time. Also, Second lead is used as a tool to showcase that the male female lead is someone valuable and she's not someone who is not liked by anyone and all, which again in my opinion is bad writing.
After your comment, I've been thinking about why I felt Kim Soo Hyun's Acting to be just average, and although…
Even though I hated the Movie Real, his acting in that was actually commendable. So, I kind of know how good he could act. But not doing so in such an Intense role actually made me kind of disappointed.
I can understand your every aspect of review and respect that.It will keep bothering me if I will not ask this…
After your comment, I've been thinking about why I felt Kim Soo Hyun's Acting to be just average, and although I can't completely show you why as it is a feeling, I would like to state a few scenes and kind of convey my point. Firstly the First kiss scene of the drama, the scene felt like he was doing it by the instruction of someone and not by own will. It looked like a child who was said by the Parents to give a Bouquet of flowers to a chief guest or something. Maybe t what they meant was to showcase the innocence of the characters by that, but rather I felt that it was like someone is making him do it. Now the Second kiss, the steamy one, Although the kiss was really good, the circumstances leading upto the kiss and the expression of his on that kiss was what missed the mark for me. He was worried, Sorry and was longing for her when he came to see her at that scene and when she was complaining, he just kisses her and it looked like he wanted to just pork and nothing else. Even though the script demands him to have a Steamy kiss and there's nothing he could do about it, his expression could be somewhat different upto that point. For eg: when she saw her, or is close to her, his eyes could be conveying the guilt that he is feeling, the longing, the relief etc. Also the re-enacting of the I love you scene, It was done mainly for pure fan service, and I get it. But when Seo Ye ji first said it, it was her desperate and childish attempt to stop him. Although she may not mean it whole heartedly, that was something of the character trait. His re-enacting of that scene, I can understand that he was trying to Remind her how desperately she used to cling to him and now he wants to cling to her, but what he does at the moment was just try to copy her. And in his re-enacting of that scene, there wasn't a much of a personal touch. The Same thing goes for the Stupid Deer scene too. As the saying goes, Good Artists copy, great artists improvise. Now apart from the Romantic Scenes, the Emotional scenes, I would say that Kim Soo Hyun is really good at crying, but the problem is that whenever he cries what I could see is Kim Soo Hyun crying and not the character Moon Gang Tae crying. He was not able to make the character Moon gang Tae to overcome the star Kim Soo Hyun. And in the beginning of the drama, there was a scene when Moon Young calls Gang tae a Hypocrite. It was because she could see through his mask. That was something that he was not able to convey to the audience and we wouldn't be able to understand it unless they show us the past scenes. But by Hypocrite, it does not only refer to his action during the past, but also how he view himself being the provider and care taker of his brother, consider his brother a burden and is taking care of him because he thinks that he is a Good Person and all. Although he showed us how hardworking and caring he is he was not able to convey us through some minor expressions/attitude the hypocrisy side of his. For eg, (I hope that you've seen Doctor Prisoner and in no way am I saying Nam Goong Min is perfect, he also has lots of flaws), In Doctor Prisoner, the revenge starts of as the main lead wants to avenge a couple whom he cherishes, but towards the we could see the Ambition in the lead's eyes and it shows us that it is no longer about revenge but about his ambition. The Action- Reaction Element, I also felt that while acting, Kim Soo Hyun is actually waiting for his cue to put on the expression or to say the dialogue rather than reacting to the other artist. That is something that differentiate good acting from average. It may look like that I am criticizing a bit too much for a kdrama, but the theme of this drama and his character actually require some good acting, and I felt that he was not able to deliver that, that was why I said that his acting is a negative influence on this drama. Normally, for me it's all on the feeling as to what I feel like Average or good Acting, so after your question, I tried to narrow down to the scenes to somewhat explain how I felt about his acting.
I have seen reviews of it. I am not sure if it's my cup of tea because it has very little romance in it or none…
In my opinion, Laughter in Waikiki 1 is better than the second part. Also, I think that you should give A Sound of your heart 2016, a try, it's also hilarious.
"Kim Soo Hyun's performance was just average and nothing more than that."Yeah, i stopped reading there.
Although all the other side characters did a pretty good.
The typical push and pull which started from the 7th episode itself even before properly developing the Romance and continuing it upto the episode 14 is also one of the most cliche' things, from wherein the drama started to Disappoint.
Don't even get me started with the plot twist, it was so ridiculous that it completely ruined some characters, Made them inconsistent and also even made the initial interaction of leads into a ridiculous one. What I hated the most about the writing was that not only did they ruin the Second half of the drama, but also the good parts of the drama after the plot twist and saying that it was all her doing. I just can't seem to understand why people are just overlooking over the ridiculous plot twist and inconsistent characters by saying that no drama is perfect. For God sake, the Defining plot twist of the drama is what they ruined and people are just ready to overlook that fact. (Typical Fanbase)
The Second half of the drama is full of Cliche' Romance and typical fan service which could've been nice to watch if the drama was consistent in its tone and Characters. And the Ending, Mental illness is such an easy thing to cure if it's not for our Main Characters. Many of the patients in the hospital were cured (that too offscreen), because why not, nobody cares about the Side characters. Can't believe it is the same drama wherein they used a good amount of screen time in some episodes for us to empathise with side characters.
Tge was a spelling mistake, I meant "The OSTs of... " (*inserts awkward smile emoji*)
