Drama aligned to novel? In that case, does the novel entails misunderstanding, love triangle, unhappinesss, bad…
Novel's ending is sweet. Not many misunderstandings and no third-parties. Both their exes clearly want them back but they're both non-issues. There are no typical angst and unrealistic tropes you see in most modern romance dramas nowadays, it's very mature and different.
Beware for the sweetness overload once they get together. It's gonna be amazing. It's not the flashy kind where they kiss, kiss, kiss, and kiss like FIYS, but the very cool, smart, and satisfying kind--you know they're grown-ups, they kiss a lot, but they also have other ways of showing their love (YT travelling all the way to the desert just to fix JJ's wifi & internet signal (in turn, for the whole cast and staff shooting with JJ), YT supporting JJ in her pursuits and vice versa, YT chasing her after regretting so much rejecting her the first time just because he was insecure of silly things like income and time, YT literally building her an automatic closet in his little apartment so she can stay there while on break, YT crying in front of his computer as he reads their old conversations in high school realizing just how much JJ loved him before, and many, many, MANY MORE).
Can anyone who has read the novel say whether there are more scenes of ML in the research institute? I liked that…
There are a lot though. Tons of the scenes after the main story (keep in mind that the novel is very short), especially took place in the research institute.
I really like the conversations between the leads - shows a more mature and relatable relationship.
This is what i was saying ;-; It's so refreshing to see actual mature couples interact, so I felt alone in this when a comment said the conversations were boring ;-;
A few actually did say that during the first few episodes. I hope you change your mind after watching a few more!…
Ahh I see it differently. The solemn mood will fit really well with all the sweetness to come once the leads figure out their feelings (all the sweetness will compensate, 100%). I find their conversations very fitting too tbh.
If you're looking for more, the next episodes (idk how long they'll get there though) are bound to be really exciting for you then, both dialogue & content-wise hehe. They're following the book so closely and the next developments will be very interesting. I hope you keep watching!
Am I the only person finding this drama, well, quite boring actually? I’m on episode 6 and at this point I’m…

I made quite a long comment here explaining a bit why I loved the show & dynamics, I hope you can read it if you have time (maybe it can give you a bit of strength to plow through the episodes haha) :) https://kisskh.at/62337-you-are-my-glory#comment-6808135 (advanced apologies for the seemingly (?) self-promo?)
FL's agent deliberately cleared up her schedule for the next month to prepare for this tournament. She knows it'll…
A spoiler for future episodes. Because FL's agent pushed back all her schedules to accommodate her "game trainings", FL will be INCREDIBLY busy for the next 2 months after the tournament trying to catch up. She even mentioned that she thought just because those events were pushed back, they would disappear as well, but she was ultimately wrong, lol.
I am wondering am I the only one who thinks that it is a bit outrageous that the ML and FL kept playing game nonstop…
FL's agent deliberately cleared up her schedule for the next month to prepare for this tournament. She knows it'll affect FL's advertising value + prospects to land Mr. Li's role (both mentioned in earlier episodes) if she fails to follow through her reputation as a really good gamer. FL's agent even mentioned that tons of actors/actresses were lining up to replace her as the game's ambassador as it is so popular and considered as a "national" game.
ML is on a long break from his job, remember? He wanted to quit aerospace and even went to interview for an investment bank during the first few episodes. Also, his superiors at the Institute encouraged this long break, in hopes that he will change his mind and come back.
Both has been explained quite clearly during the earlier episodes. Though different situations, they're both technically in the middle of their own vacations.
FL's love is sooooo pure. Protect this woman at all cost >< I teared up (unexpectedly) a lot during the part when…
YESSS It's so sweet I got a toothache. And like our previous conversations above, my only selfish wish was for their relationship to get discovered at the end hahaha the reason is completely shallow but i want everyone to knowww! When I was reading the novel, I kept waiting for the moment it gets exposed but it never happened D:
So far (Ep10) they're doing so well in adapting the novel. The additional details/scenes are also nicely done…
True! The scene-by-scene play is amazing, each actor suits his/her character very well. My only selfish wish is for their relationship/romance to get discovered at the end unlike in the novel lol.
FL's love is sooooo pure. Protect this woman at all cost >< I teared up (unexpectedly) a lot during the part when Yu Tu was re-reading their older conversations (from high school)... god. I need some time to recover.
I'm really loving this drama. It's a nice break from the usual (and often unrealistic) fluff and portrayals normal c-dramas tend to veer towards. Both leads, and even the premise, are so refreshing.
As opposed to the usual all-ice-no-personality male leads, Yu Tu is *so* real. Not all of us have the confidence, nor the resources, to risk it all in pursuit of our dreams. The fact that he's a genius but doesn't have to be "perfect" all the time makes the character very convincing and the dynamics very different.
Jing Jing, on the other hand, might seem like a typical FL at first glance, but I'm so glad to find out that that isn't the case. She *thinks*. She's not boring, she's not a Mary Sue, she's not irrational and uber-persistent to the point of annoying (with the drama masquerading it as being 'strong-willed'). She liked a guy in high school, she confessed, she got rejected, and she moved on. 10 years later, she didn't have typical c-drama thoughts to get revenge, prove something, or chase him again. She just happens to meet her first love, exhibits *normal* human reactions (feeling giddy, wanting to meet him, etc); she needs help playing a game and rekindles her love for him in the process.
It's cute and SO different. It's not boring because of those 2 reasons at all :) Tons of c-dramas in this genre are basically a copy-paste of each other (you know it's true), but this one is not at all like that, so consider giving it a chance!
1) Can anyone explain what happened during Episode 16 preview? Was wondering about their friends' reactions now that the fact that the leads are close was publicized (because of the tournament). 2) Do you guys know what chapter is Episode 10 in the novel?
