A lot of dramas are described as "slow burn" so I always thought that "slow burn" meant having stupid characters and/or boring plots until I watched this. Sure, it is not flawless, but the flaws are negligible - except the fact that there are several Western actors who can't properly speak act - it was such a pain going through those scenes.
Everything about this drama is fresh, except the Gang story line. Second lead syndrome (that handsome, kind-hearted lawyer), noble idiocy (I know her so well, she can express her feelings in front of me, but I only her big brother) - aren't we tired of that?
* Da Feng is not very different from other chatacters with similar plots.
* Fu An - I don't know what to make of her - she started strong but later appeared dependent who needed to be protected everytim, even after eating chocolates or steamong socks, lol. When she did not have Da Feng and Dong Joe, it was the village chief.
* I am not crazy about Dong Jie. While the character was good, it was not very nice hanging around with an engaged/married friend whom you are in love with, much so when the husband is not comfortable having you around.
* Zhen Zhen is annoying, I guess it's the way her character was written. Or it can be bad acting.
I got an inkling after watching the whole thing that the writer/director and JTBC were in cahoots in the procrastination…
Wasn't it Mr Choi (doctor) who healed him? In the last ep, he goes back to Korea healed and thanked the doctor for his advice (to stop acting like a child) and for the consultations even if he is away. So, no, I don't think it's O-sol's doing - she even said that she did not want to change him because she understands. The only thing is she is the only perso he can touch even if she is dirty.
I really enjoyed this drama. The story was good. But that attitude of the Ae Ra was the most annoying thing on…
2nd ML was so frustrating. Why did he delay telling the intern about his relationship, and after everything was revealed, he still allowed intern in his life?
Plus I don't like the intern actress - I thought it was the character that I hated, but I also saw her in WWWSK and Doctors - I realized I just do not like the actress.
I just finished this drama and I am kinda confused and angry at the whole Mother plot? Did I miss something? So,…
"because the mother had naked scenes in a movie, they couldn't be together for nearly 30 years..."
This isn't the 1st time they used this plot in kdrama. In Secret Romance, FL's mom was a porn star and FL was so embarassed even after several years when she was already an adult. Could be a conservative culture thing. That was in the 1990s, and they were from the countryside, not Seoul.
The cooking scenes are sooo painful to watch. She is a good cook but does not have proper knife skills. How is she a good pastry chef, she does not even know that you mix the wet ingredients first before blending with dry? And brownie batter is supposed to be thick and dense. Should have gone to internship like in Perfect Match, she works at the hotel anyway.
Yeo Reum kind of annoys me. He doesn't even have a home, dating should be the least of his concerns.
Se Ah was just there to run after Ki Tae. Will she really be doing this up to the end?

* Kiwi made more appearances than the MLs, lol.
