I think we got a flash to an alternative timeline where the prince was killed (she said the prince was poisoned,…
I thought that scene was a flashback from after Eun Ho had already told him about the future so he was aware of it and the woman was explaining what he had to do, in the tense of from where she is in the future, so still speaking in past tense about how the prince has died. What you said makes more sense, I think 😅

Oh really? I thought it was that because the prince was transported to the future that it was just written in books that he'd been poisoned because that's what his sentence was supposed to be, and then the painting being discovered let's him be saved again (and again). Honestly the more I try to figure it out the more confused I am. It was a cute show but they tried to do too much while also not wanting to spend any time on the explanation
Am I the only one confused by the ending? Like, I understand it but also it just felt rushed and missing something. Maybe I just wanted to see Geum and Heon adjusting to the 21st century idk but something about it just felt like it didn't make sense
Who's boiling that water? PLEASE! I thought Peach got Yoon Oh's bracelet from the port where he disappeared? Then…
Peach got Yoon Oh's bracelet from the port, but it was his own bracelet that fell off in the cafe, and it was said that when the bracelet falls off, his wish would come true, so his wish was to be with Yoon Oh and then the water started boiling, as if it was a sign of something wink wink nudge nudge we need a season 2 or a movie :((((
I just wish Joon Hwi and Sol A were confirmed :(( Other than that I loved it omg I found it did incredibly well at showing the intricacies and nuance within the corrupt legal system in which the same laws that protects citizens can be used to shelter criminals as well
Ok so after watching this I have a lot of thoughts. First of all, taewoong. Just... no. He did too many weird things that just weren't ok in the slightest. He liked his student first of all. Second of all that student happens to be the younger sister of his late ex girlfriend???????? Like, why is this just brushed off so fast? Why do they literally never talk about her sister or have any sort of memorial for her? Like, they brought this whole dead sister story line up and then went literally nowhere with it, where it was only brought up once and he was just like ya at first it was because you looked like your sister but now I just like you and that was just accepted and never brought up again????? But then also if that wasn't bad enough, yoonjae's friends don't know they're brothers at first and before telling them, taewoong asks one of them for porn? This grown ass man asks a student for porn????? I don't care that he's yoonjae's brother, that's weird af.
Overall I did actually like the series, but I really just can't like taewoong.
Also there should have been better confirmation in the end that that dude was junhee's bf. When they were at the dinner and everyone was telling him to meet a nice girl I was waiting for him to say "oh, actually, I'm already seeing someone" and even leaving it gender neutral and not giving any details, I didn't expect for him to just be completely silent about it and nod along when at least two of his friends know he's gay. And we still don't know if he ever TOLD yoonjae he's gay, other than the shared look at the end which makes it seem like THAT'S the coming out scene to him? Maybe I'm wrong but I was hoping for some sort of talk between them and that just never really happened. If anything, yoonjae kinda led him on a few times while trying to be supportive (back hugs and stuff). But I am really glad to have seen some form of queer representation as kdramas usually don't have any outright queer characters.
I think it made sense. They dealt a lot with Ling Xiao's insecurities and issues stemming from his past while…
I think people are so used to everyone in dramas having romances and ending up with someone they forget this is supposed to be more accurate, and like, this is a man with a lot of issues and is scared to trust anyone because he knows everyone around him could just leave him at any time. He's finally gotten a sense of security within his own family, after about 20 years of being scared they would/could leave him too, of course he hasn't been very open to dating other people, he has hella issues that he needs to work out before he could be in any sort of healthy relationship with another person, or trust someone enough to open up to them. I think this made a lot of sense and you could just see how happy he was that this family he grew up with and loved is now TRULY his, including even LX and Ling Dad and you're right I think he was probably the biggest winner. He's now a member of a fully functional family who he loves and who loves him, and that's all he's ever wanted.
Other than that I loved it omg I found it did incredibly well at showing the intricacies and nuance within the corrupt legal system in which the same laws that protects citizens can be used to shelter criminals as well
