So it's good, but drags on so much. I've never before skipped entire episodes until now. I couldn't stand all the misunderstandings and manipulations preventing the main coupling from getting together. Wound up skipping 3 full episodes and most of the way through a fourth (I looked up brief summaries of each ep so ik what's happening and where to skip to for the couple to finally get together). We'll see if I skip anything else. This is weird for me though, I've literally never been able to bring myself to skip entire episodes until now
TRIGGER WARNING. Oh my god I have never been more disturbed by a movie. I don't even know what to say. I'll respond…
So, just in general, the tags and genre listed make this seem like a romance/love triangle period drama situation, which it is, but it's also so much more than that that I really wasn't prepared for what I was getting myself into by watching it. It's very violent with a lot of very disturbing and graphic scenes (note I wouldn't describe sex scenes as disturbing, but the nature of a lot of them in this film were). I don't even know what I'd update the tags to say, but please if you have any ideas help, they're definitely misleading.

Okay, so as far as the castration goes, the king has his men cut off someone's penis in front of the queen. There's blood splatter. And, just, wow. I'm a girl and I still found it incredible hard to watch. I grew up watching bloody crime shows, but this was just on a different level.

Triggers/just generally disturbing things: Bloodshed Killing Explicit sex scenes Non consensual sex (not rape per se, but forcing people to have sex) Literal castration (this is the one that got me, I'll go into a bit more detail in another comment if you're interested) Torture (and torture of pregnant woman, which is just somehow worse) Severed heads on stakes
TRIGGER WARNING. Oh my god I have never been more disturbed by a movie. I don't even know what to say. I'll respond to this with possible triggers marked as spoiler, feel free to add any I miss. All I have to say though, is that while it may be a good movie in that it does an amazing job in psychologically scarring it's viewers (like how a good thriller should), it's also very detrimental in general for LGBT+ representation as it depicts its one gay character as a pedophile who forced a subordinate to be with him.
Nobody died of anything other than natural causes!!! Every time someone almost died from homophobia, I was ready to drop the show because I'm so tired of LGBT sad endings, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how each of the characters handled their situations.
lol the description says Neua "secretly falls in love with Pra-Ram" like he wasn't telling everyone he knew and hitting on Praram the moment it started
Anyone have a link for the real pilot episode? The "first episode" sites are giving all the families talk about the last time they had been on the show, meaning it can't be the first episode.
