Don’t understand how are people hating on ML saying he is wasting his life and like didn’t they see how hard his life has been and every responsibility he has to endure (on-going too!) and somehow it’s his fault that he doesn’t want to go date no more? lol That’s not called hung up on the FL, cos he did move on during this 10 years until seeing her again. He can move on with his life and still not date anyone new, it’s not mutually exclusive

but it is explained very well he wasn’t hung up on her and didn’t date, he simply has too much life responsibilities and burden he shut himself off to love in general.

we do know the story of the break up tho. the break up has nothing to do with anything happened after. we saw both of their POVs for the break up. She can live a tough life afterwards it doesn’t change the fact on how she broke up and why. not everything is misogynistic. she also started using her ex’s from 10 years ago’s streaming platform. I agree some people are too harsh on her but she is a bit selfish in ep3-4. I am sure there will be more stories about their life in this 10 years but for the breakup itself, she does need to apologize at some point

and I didn’t say it’s not realistic. And I even said it’s the right decision, but it doesn’t make it not hurtful, especially with the words she said. she is saying the time with taeseo is wasteful because now she has what she wants to do in life. Taeseo is having a very tough time and still making efforts because he wants to see her, she’s not even happy when she gets a text or thinking about meeting Taeseo. So she did hurt him (and that’s okay, doesn’t make her a bad person)

when he was talking to his parents in front of their graves, he still said it doesn’t matter how I am doing. He’s just learned to accept he can’t do what he wants. And even as a train driver, he was still tied to that because he can stay close enough if anything happened to grandparents or his brother, he can go immediately. getting a farm for the family, living in such a high place (likely cheap). He’s still not someone who would go and date.

He literally said “I already forgot I had shared my streaming account with her, or even why”. he MOVED ON. His life just is filled with 100% burden and responsibilities that he never gets to do anything he likes. damn I can’t believe people still can be that harsh on him????

Regardless of how her 10 years have been, the decision to break up and her indeed hurt him at that time has nothing to do with how her 10 years later been. It was realistic, but before the break up you can clearly see that she started feeling annoyed and she couldn’t even tell him she moved into the dorm. Breaking up over a phone call when he was the one who called too, isn’t the most respectful way to a relationship. She isn’t heartless spoiled brat, but regardless of how her life crumbles after, the break up itself was hurtful to Taeseo

Yes, I think people think she meant it’s a waste of time in a way that is saying you are wasting my time, which isn’t entirely true. however, I don’t disagree she wanted to prioritize herself at that moment in life. I think we can all make a decision like that, it’s not wrong, and it’s even better to tell your partner earlier so you are not giving false hopes / just keep missing promises. but she does need to recognize she hurt him in doing so, especially over the phone. I can understand she was young and was green, so hopefully 10 years later she showed growth!

There is nothing wrong for Eunah to prioritize herself in a period of time where she found her passion and only want to focus on herself. Taeseo doesn’t bring her joy anymore but instead, matching schedules feel like a burden. I understand that feeling, even your break time you only want to give it to yourself. She is at that point, loving herself more than loving him, which isn’t a wrong thing. She may not understand it, but her heart was quick to realize and made the right decision, for both of them. It would have been bad if she continues to forget to check her phone, forget their date on a confirmed time, missing promises and stalling him. It is a choice she made in her 20.

Taeseo on the other hand, his life is filled with burden and responsibilities. Eunah was his only breathing room, and the only thing that isn’t a duty but something he wants. He was not interested in “likes” and “futures”, therefore in the relationship, he is the one that will try harder to hold on, even physically he literally cannot continue anymore. Once that has gone, it makes sense he stopped caring for dating and only focus on taking care of his family. He said “I already forgot that I shared the streaming platform, or even the reason why”. It means this 10 years he wasn’t “hung up” on FL, he moved on with his life too, but he just never found anything else.

What I would like to see though, is at least showing Eunah feeling apologitic and Taeseo to feel a bit more distanced. It wasn’t a wrong mistake and we all live with our decisions. But how Eunah broke up over the phone without truly trying harder, she did hurt Taeseo. Started using your ex-boyfriend’s streaming account after 10 years, then asking him to not worry about you also is quite hurtful and selfish. Characters can made a decision that hurt others, what makes a drama good is to see how it’s handled and matured in their ways of handling the same situation. What changed with age and experiences? That’s what make this reunion trope never gets old.

I think their break up was very realistic. In that time of the life, when you are chasing your new found dream, sometimes even your break time you want to spend it on yourself. It was just that in that moment, eunah realized she was more important than any romance, and she chose to prioritize herself. That’s not a wrong decision, it would have been better for her to break this early on then later not being able to keep promises or stalling him.

Though I think in this drama the script writer made it clear for ML to say “I already forgot I shared the music streaming platform with her, or the fact that why did I even shared it in the first place”. Like life he moves on, but she was the only light in his life that was full of responsibility and burden. After eunah he just never had time, opportunity or energy to chase after anything. Wood work maybe one, but he isn’t living a life. I can understand why he didn’t date.

I don’t think so. He said he already forgot that he shared the music account or even why he shared it in the first place, only until recently Eunah started using it he then remembered. In the 10 years he was just focusing on living his life. If he didn’t date, that’s likely because how much burden he has with his own responsibilities and lives and he did not get to do anything he wanted. He said so much, he was not caring about his own likes and life before, and he just went back to taking care of his family afterwards.

What are you even talking about… he doesn’t wear much make up? he even known to reject heavy make up in his idol days. His lashes are naturally thick and dense.
