If anyone to say FL broke up because of money because he’s poor… I wonder if they have a truly realistic relationship before… I really can understand how tired she was feeling and how much of a different type of person she and he is that their values don’t match. It doesn’t matter who at the end succeed, it’s just they seem to be very different personalities
Chocolate, I feel like a lot of people don't talk about this drama and it genuinely is one of my favorites from…
oh wow I was just answering chocolate and see more people recommended I am happy :) it was such a beautiful show. also needed to pay attention to the small expression to notice the main leads relationship development
I actually like it a lot. the middle was a bit slow but the ending picked up and some don’t like sad endings but it was actually written really well imo
I couldn’t get past episode 2. Something is missing for sure. not sure if it’s the acting, the plot, etc
I thought the first 2 episodes were really meh and I almost dropped it but I did watch ep3 and it gets better after. I like a light but not childish historical drama too, not only the serious ones, but this one will likely get serious in the later part… the setup is meant for some sad moments I feel lol
I think the friend DID tell Ilwoo about the sex thing. That's why Ilwoo went nuts and tried to break through the…
I can help clarify: 1. Son hwan only knew Wolwoo was assaulted but he never knew who. He didn’t want to tell ilwoo at first because he always thought ilwoo didn’t care about Wolwoo. But with son hwan himself being assaulted ilwoo slowly realized what Wolwoo faced. 2. Son hwan only learned about who was the one who raped Wolwoo after he left the prison. He went to see the trial and only after the teacher mentioned he was the volunteer who visited Wolwoo every Sunday for him to realize it was that Santa. By that time he already left prison. 3. After ilwoo learned about wolwoo’s assault, he finally connected the dots that when Wolwoo hinted “Santa said he likes me” means that he was being raped. Then knowing the teacher went to their house every Sunday, remembering the costume in his office, and learning that the Sunday is Dec 24, the day Wolwoo dies, he finally connects all the dots that it was the teacher who raped Wolwoo. Ilwoo didn’t understand “Santa likes me” means he’s being raped (and the sound he made was due to the discomfort).
So, it wasn’t son hwan didn’t tell ilwoo all this time, it was because he also didn’t know it was the teacher back then. Second, ilwoo wasn’t acting solely based on a hunch, after he connects the dots it was certain but he also only acted that angry after the teacher confessed himself. Hope this helps lol
I’m still confused what was il woo doing before his brother died ?? Like what was his job was he hanging with…
Here’s the director’s words. He posted on IG. I used Papago to translate:
"We need to make sure that we don't think about living here until the end of the year." " The demolition team leader's words, which threaten service workers in the demolition village, sound like saying that the Ilwoo family should no longer live in rental apartments. At the feet of Ilwoo, who leaves the house, there are bills that have not been paid and a "forced eviction notice" to leave the house. Ilwoo's family is on the verge of being kicked out of their homes. So Ilwoo had to make money. I needed money like crazy. Rental apartment rent has already been delayed for half a year, and electricity, water, heating, and all utility bills are behind. The credit card debt that my father lost became the share of my grandmother with dementia, and dozens of collection calls are made from bad debtors a day. At minus 20 degrees Celsius, Il-woo works to kick other people's families out of their homes so that they don't evict them. But Ilwoo, who works in the demolition village, is a villain. Ilwoo works as a so-called "hired thug." For the rich who want to accumulate wealth through real estate development, it is ruthlessly trampling on the homes of the poor and forcing them out by using violence. Bully boys insensitive to violence, treating it like a joke. For boys who are still underage, adults give them weapons and drink kang soju to double the violence. No one, including Ilwoo, thinks why he has to do something like this. The job of a demolition service provider, which can touch a large sum of money if it moves properly for a few days, is an inevitable temptation for Ilwoo. "If I can work well somehow and get a bonus..." That's all Ilwoo thinks. When you think ahead, your actions become violent. It unleashes brutal violence against the demolished people. The irony is that the rich people who actually make that money are not seen in this mess at all. Only boys who want to make a few bucks are beating and pulling out desperate evicters who have nowhere to go and nowhere else to retreat because they have nowhere to go and no reward.

He’s not yet an adult and he’s quit high school, no companies will hire him for good paying job except to get a job for doing bad things. The big companies bought the land but the people living there refuse to leave their house, the companies hire gangsters to help beat people up and force them to leave their houses. He’s working with the gangsters becoz this is the only way he can make money to pay his own rent.
Why did il woo have so much anger before the death of his brother when he was alive. He was always full of anger…
He’s barely 18 and they parents dumped them. He needed to quit high school so he can go work hard Labor Day in day out to take care of the two handicapped family. His brother and grandma. He is extremely exhausted but his dad’s debt is still piling onto him even tho he ran away. He’s become the head of household. Life is too tiring and no a single adult can help him at all. He’s sleeping at the door (coldest) and gave all the warm blankets to his brother and grandma and he’s working 6am everyday making tiny bit money at the edge being forced out of their house cos he doesn’t make enough money to provide his family. I think anyone would be filled with anger in that kind of situation?
well, the wife was damn creepy this episode!! she is one crazy woman...and I still hate Dr Mo, sacrificing another…
I just know the show said the earlier experiments didn’t look for particular high IQ kids. it was the last one he decided to find someone already smart.
