He’s not yet an adult and he’s quit high school, no companies will hire him for good paying job except to get a job for doing bad things. The big companies bought the land but the people living there refuse to leave their house, the companies hire gangsters to help beat people up and force them to leave their houses. He’s working with the gangsters becoz this is the only way he can make money to pay his own rent.

He’s barely 18 and they parents dumped them. He needed to quit high school so he can go work hard Labor Day in day out to take care of the two handicapped family. His brother and grandma. He is extremely exhausted but his dad’s debt is still piling onto him even tho he ran away. He’s become the head of household. Life is too tiring and no a single adult can help him at all. He’s sleeping at the door (coldest) and gave all the warm blankets to his brother and grandma and he’s working 6am everyday making tiny bit money at the edge being forced out of their house cos he doesn’t make enough money to provide his family. I think anyone would be filled with anger in that kind of situation?

I just finished ep1 and it is GREAT!!!!!!

I watched two episodes and thought the writing was absolutely amazing yea it’s one of those main leads don’t die type of dramas but the script was pretty excellent why am I seeing people saying the writing isn’t good? did it get worst after 2 eps?

really loving it so far! ep1 might be “slow” but it was a very necessary episode to set the tone - who our ML and FL (kid) are. why would she trust a kidnapper that quickly? why did they build their bonds? ML is such a big hearted dad, so soft and loving, hence it would work in this dynamic. without the setup in ep1 I don’t think ep2 makes sense in an emotional level! then comes ep2 where the actions really started. so far the cops are doing what they should be doing and are competent! They aren’t just focusing on ML’s leads but all the leads too. I mean ML does look super suspicious from the evidences lol but from ep3 we can tell the cops are able to tell the kid trusts ML so something is sus.

LOVE the dynamic between ML and kid! they make a great combo and the slowly opening to each other is working very well. Looking forward to ep3!!

I don’t hate the cops tho they are just chasing what makes the most sense up til now I think they are pretty competent! also they are sensing what’s not making sense w ML might not be the murderer too!

people saying don’t compare… well the thing is if it’s actually worst people are free to comment and have that kind of opinions too lol the remake is indeed way worst than the original. there are other remakes that hold its own place with changed plots too but this just isn’t one of those

I just want to remind everyone who are angry:
- it’s been THREE years since the news where she thinks he’s dead
- he has ALWAYS left her without telling her why. despite the reason, he never stayed proactively
- she has a family of elders and babies to feed while being a head of household
- this is 1600s where noble women have no place in society to live without getting married to a man

Interesting a lot of the shows you liked I like too and My Dearest is one of the best. I would suggest trying to skip all of 1-3 and start watching ep4 to see if this is truly your taste or not. It’s fine if you don’t like it but many viewers who fell deep into this drama only started feeling this way after ep4 lol (as you can also see in ratings. After ep4 ended the ratings jumped 3.2 in ep5 lol)
