idk a lot about the Korean school system but how can a gang of delinquents from another school just walk in and waterboard a student without *anyone* intervening?
same goes for the cafeteria scene. how did noone step up when a rapist and bully harassed the victim in front of everyone, students and adults like?
Wow, those were amazing first two episodes. This has to be the first time in a kdrama I've seen a ML assault girls and horrifically torture another guy in cold blood... And tbh I didn't even feel too bad bc they were just so evil! Idk what that says about me π
That twist about the brother was so shocking. I'm not sure if I believe the twin brother is also a villain & bully, bc otherwise why would the FL go on a vengeful rampage with the ML, as the plot summary seemed to indicate? Or maybe I'm understanding something wrong...
It's weird, never liked a couple as much as Sang Shik and Na-rae in a long time. Can someone pls recommend another drama or movie with similar enemies-to-lovers kinda relationship?
As an Indian, the way they treat Dong-joo, it reminds me a lot about our own caste system nonsense. In fact, I think in places in East Asia like Japan, they really do have casteist discrimination against ppl who deal with the dead.
episode 6 had no right making me cry like that. F to the sweetest halmeoni. speaking of sweet, I love the leads' slowly developing relationship and chemistry. I just wasn't expecting an ex to show up so soon, that's usually an episode 8 or 12 kinda development, no?
episode 6 had no right making me cry like this. wow, the ML is such a nice guy & rn I love their chemistry & sweet relationship. however, was not expecting an ex to show up so early.
overall, it was okay. If you've seen a lot of crime or law kdramas, you've already seen the tropes and types of characters in BP. The plot was never really interesting to me, it just how the characters interacted - the chemistry, the banter and the humour in this drama were really good. I would say 8.0/10 from me.
I'm on EP. 4, and I really like dislike every time they play the stereotypica "Oriental music" every time the topic of brown people comes up. otherwise the character of Aziz is nice.
also that weird comment about Arabs Hae-Young made. π¬π¬
