That's the beauty of jdramas. Instead of 16-episode kdramas that just keep lagging and get draggy, jdramas are more fast-paced and exciting.

The budget is actually really good compared to the avg jdrama and honestly what you're saying about Japanese acting is just inaccurate in most cases... Also, compared to kdramas, especially in the case of adaptations, jdramas are always fast paced
