This movie was amazing. The story, the acting, the cinematography... Everything was just masterful! Cannot recommend it enough, 10/10.

I mean, I understand that men tend to be idolized for philandering while women are put down for their sexuality but I absolutely will judge people for infidelity, no matter the gender. It's gross no matter who does it.

Oh sure there are moments that mock the policing system but at the end of the day it's still valourizing police officers as these poor put upon civil servants who are only doing their best for the sake of civilians, who don't appreciate their efforts

Most of them tend to be really cringey, abbreviated and have bad acting, imo; a lot of people watch these and assume all j-media is like that. Of course, there are quite a few good adaptations, e.g. Horimiya, Marry me!, etc. but they seem to be the exception rather than the norm.

I mostly only watch jdramas nowadays, because they tend to have deeper and more innovative stories, themes and characterizations than their Korean and Chinese counterparts. I would advise not going for live action adaptations and the more problematic dramas/movies; there are so many good jdramas and movies.

She is so pretty and I love her voice. Hope she gets more main roles (and that they get subbed)!

Higuma dad's acting is amazing! He really made me really feel the loss of his wife, when he broke down, it was so touching, I couldn't even restrain my own tears!!

And omg the mom is Yamamoto Mizuki! I wish she had a main role and had more screentime T-T

Lmao I loved the reference to Gakki's marriage announcement too! And yes, this drama gives me Kotaro vibes; but even Kotaro did not make me cry like this and it's just the first episode!
