Okay so finished watching it. First of all, the English subs are not very good, which is a problem since this drama was very dialogue heavy with very deep problems being discussed. That, the dreary, grey visuals and the really slow pace of the first few episodes made it tough going at first. However, midway through the series, the pace picked up; the story is actually quite interesting and poses a lot of questions about the welfare system and the ethics of trying to determine a human being's "usefulness" to society. The criminal case was surprisingly engaging and the acting by Ai Hashimoto was really good. For me, this drama is a 8/10 at most.

I mean, the drama hasn't shown him in any financial difficulty so far?? He seems to be able to pay his bills?? As long as he's not on the edge of poverty and is able to sustain himself, he doesn't have to buy in our capitalist society.
