I've found this when I was searching for a good detective movie and I was severely disappointed. My main gripe…
Sexist in terms of the plot and the characterization of the FL? Or just the daily, constant sexism Reiko faces? It might not be the 80s but 2005 *was* quite a while back, with a lot of sexism and racism we would look askance at today. And beside, this is an Asian country with a woman trying to work in a completely male dominated field. Not that the West is exactly a progressive paradise in that sense.
Ep. 8: surprisingly heart felt episode with quiet emotions of nostalgia, loneliness and an awkward but caring friendship. I would have been so mad if my friends were so silly around me - he's not a child, in trying to be so clumsily considerate of his feelings they just made things worse. I hope they're more direct to each other and renew their friendships.
This is one of the most gorgeous Japanese movies I have ever watched. Like the cinematography and production value is unspeakably amazing. It is also the most creepiest, tense and ominous Japanese movie I have ever seen. All qualities it shares with Parasite.
Is it already subbed? Kinda wanna watch it. Have you seen Influence? I heard it's similar.
