Is there going to be a season 2? That little snippet at the end leads me to believe so but I'm not sure, every…
Exactly! The vampire looking ex-BF came out of nowhere! How can they end like that, it was so abrupt... I hope there's a season 2 so the mall vs grocery store plot line is resolved.
Really beautiful drama. Everyone acted so well! The biggest draw were the characters - all the actors made a wonderful job, making it seem like the characters were real people and the viewer can't helping caring for them. The grandpa especially was such a nice person, although this can be said for everyone in the village. Maybe a bit of an idealized image of country life, but everyone in the village cared so much for each other and were so supportive - so wholesome!
The female characters were a bit annoying and kind of, er, imposed a lot of emotional torture on their romantic partners but it all worked out in the end. Christina Mok did a really good job (and she's so pretty!) and her acting and her storyline made almost cry sometimes. Derek Chang was very compelling too, as were the supporting cast. The supporting characters were all really well-written and their stories were interesting as well. And the grandpa and his lover's story was so tragic but so sweet. The OST is quite good too.
I would rate this drama a 9/10. Actually kinda wanna read the manhua it's based on now.
How is S2 rated higher than S1? Don't get me wrong, this is better than most dramas but it just doesn't hold up to how terrifying, suspenseful, and exciting the first season was.
A good show for a quarantine binge to pass the time. The acting was good all around but the plot was average. The earlier episodes are a little bit... horny, there's no other way to describe and the first episode is a bit confusing and slow but the series gets better later on. The humour is decent too. Esther Yeh really sold the role of a crazy psycho gf lol.
One of the best dramas I have seen. The actors all did an amazing job (esp. Chen You, Alyssa Chia and Chris Wu), the story was poignant and relevant in our world (particularly in the West where gun violence is so common), the production value was decent and the OST wasn't bad either. 9.5/10.
P.S. Yeah, it's bit heavy like the comment below mentioned but all of the characters really care and look out for each other and it's an happy ending too :)
A bit slow and it did drag towards the later episodes but I would still recommend watching this drama. The acting by everyone was amazing and the show had very important themes and messages. The cinematography was also great. 8.5/10.
I know some people have doubts about Taiwanese dramas but this one was on par with or even surpasses Kdramas. Simply an amazing show, I literally cannot sleep because I'm so invested in the story.

Her acting skills are always excellent, but special mention for her acting in The World Between Us!
