@Furritsubs is subbing the drama, check out her twitter for the link
it's really not, the fan subber has the FAQ that's in-depth and easy to understand. please watch jdramas directly from the fansubbers, not certain sites that steal their work...
amazing first two episodes. it reminded a lot of Kingdom, in terms of the cinematography, the direction and music.
is this a Disney original or something? this is a really international production, seems like an Indian company is doing the rotoscoping and some other VFX. felt so proud to see Indian names in the credits of a jdrama. there was also a company from Montreal?
the OST is just so beautiful, as is the cinematography. I will keep saying this every week, yes.
and you can tell this is adapted from a novel because all the scenes flow and feel like the chapters of a book, idk how to explain it.
I still think Ha isn't as much of an asshole Sooyoung is making him seem. he did hesitate for a few seconds, but he still made a decision to be with her. it's on her for taking it as such an unforgivable crime. honestly, it's on both of them - Sangsoo is indecisive bc of his family circumstances. and Su-young is... whatever she is... because of family circumstances. so they are really are alike. I find them both frustrating and stress-inducing but still so damn compelling. Sangsoo just needs to to talk about the reasons behind his actions, and sooyoung needs to stop acting cold one sec & all hot and bothered the next... And also talk about the reasons behind her actions. I can understand why they're like this, but it's still so hard (but addicting) to watch.
could Miyoung not turn down what was supposed to go to Sooyoung? Very loyal friend of you, lady. i knew there was something off about her as well. will their relationship be awkward in the future or will they still manage to be friends?
honestly, I feel like Su-young and Jong-hyeon should date. they just click, altho rn I think FL sees him as a sibling and maybe he reminds her of her brother? meanwhile, Ha should be on his own and work on himself first. I think the class difference between him and Migyeong will lead to a lot of conflict.
this might be one of the few times that I've actually shipped the ML with the SFL. they really do look cute together and they have good chemistry & flow well together. their relationship probably wouldn't be like walking thru a minefield, like anything between ML and the actual FL. it doesn't help that Mikyung is so damn pretty. but I feel like there's an undercurrent of calculation and arrogance to everything she does? I don't think she's befriended Ahn Sooyoung for positive, altruistic reasons?
I'm glad we got to see that Ha has some good aspects to his character, and how he genuinely has moments of compassion & kindness. it's nice that he tried to distance himself from Sooyoung but he still acts obsessed ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I get where Sooyoung is coming from but imagine accusing Ha of toying with her feelings. she ghosted and got angry with him for reasons she won't explain + pretended to be in a relationship with someone else + went on a blind date. how can she act all jealous and self righteous?
SML just vibing. I don't have any thoughts about him other than he deserves better than Su-young.
lot of scenes that are basically softcore porn, but good first episodes, addressing issues pertaining to women's sexualities and validating their experiences. impressed such a conservative country was able to produce this, very timely and needed.
