I think he's very handsome, definitely eye candy but I doubt he'll be the "main" ML, even if the rumor is true... (the novel involves 3 male leads).
I watched a few of his dramas... he's decent depending on type of character he plays but so far he lacks intensity or depth if the role is more complex.
If Bai Lu is truly the FL for kun ling, she will be top billed, since it's a female focus drama and her name will appear before the male lead. The more well known or popular male actors might not want that arrangement...
