Hopefully ZLH is not so wooden like the ML with Overlord. I'm a bit more worried about the beauty filter they used on the short teaser- everyone looks too white/ pale. The production take a page from One and Only with film quality.

Bai Lu brings so much laughter and energy to Keep Running. I only watch it because of her.

another melon said that the list is false. some melons said that bai lu signed up for 2 regular seasons and not the special fall edition (October), however her team maybe negotiating on joining that one too. I hope she can join, she should be done with filming her current drama and have free time by then.

I follow Weibo, it's the same info... early 2023, mostly likely due to the amount of post production work that needs to be done. Both her historical and fantasy dramas take about 5 months to film and for some reason her agency doesn't book filming for her back to back. At least we get to see her in Keep Running?

Agree, hope TTOETM don't use too much filter, I want to see their emotion/ acting. I find most idol dramas are too filtered to the point where the actors look 2 dimensional; it also make a drama looks low budget.

I read that she wants to do modern drama next... let's hope, it will definitely takes less time to film and not much post production editing.

It will take about 5 months to film. I don't know why it takes that long since it's only 36 episodes. Sucks that she only produces 2 dramas a year.

Agree with you. I'm here for bai lu but even the support leads are getting more screen time than her.... This's more like a guest role for her. I really hope she gets to solve at least one case on her own.

These 2 can be our favorites but they might not be to others. Their competitors' fans might give low ratings to deter ppl from watching this drama. But of course, there are also ppl for what ever reason just don't like this drama.

There are not too many ppl rating this drama at this point. If haters decide to drop low scores, it can affect the total rating significantly.

On a positive note, at least she's working on a drama. Currently there's not a lot of filming in the China due to covid restrictions.

Wow if that's her queen outfit, then she must be a queen with a tight budget haha. I didn't read the book, but hopefully she doesn't have to wear her hair up most of the time. I like it down and flowy, it make her more youthful.
The costume designer is the same one as The Long Ballad. I was not crazy with how he designed Dilraba's costume, so I had my doubts about him.
I read rumors that her next project will be with Youku again and there might even be a new variety show with IQIYI.

it's sad that I see some anti-fans/ melon bloggers from Weibo are making fun of her costumes and it's lack of budget. I really hope IQIYI will do her right since she really is the one who has to carry this drama as all the other leads are newbies.

any thoughts with her costume designs (so far I've seen a blue and a pink one)? I know it's palace and not fantasy drama but so far I'm a little bit disappointed with the printed on floral pattern on her pink dress and it's too conservative (the one with the booting ceremony)... I'd preferred embroidered one which looks and is more expensive to produce. I thought this is a S drama but so far her costumes with One and Only (A drama (A is lower budgeted than S)) are better.... I hope there're better looking costumes ahead with this drama.

I read Bai Lu has been taking voice lessons after Song of Youth... some ppl said her voice is too modern and not soft enough. Maybe she will surprise us?

there is usually not a lot of traffic with realistic modern dramas. I'm looking forward to this one as everyone is using their real voice.
