always like to watch the movie version after watching the drama, it encapsulate the main plot points and just summarize it better without all the fillers.
Started this drama and I do believe Arthur Chen's character is the same as he played in Ever Night S1. Both characters are arrogant, proud and doesn't abide by rules of the world. Which is why his acting is a bit stiff and not much better than his first film.
enjoyed the drama despite the fact that I try to avoid all the queue hair style dramas, never liked the look. this drama also made me read up on Qing Dynasty and got a quick history lesson. I recommend not to be nit picky with the details of time travel and some parts of the timeline of the history in the drama since this is not a history lesson documentary but just to serve a backdrop to the story that the writer was telling.
OVERALL - enjoyed the drama. Not as bad as what others were saying. - The title of this drama a misnomer, would have been better called something else since th e story not necessarily evolved around Mowgli and his struggles in the city and it's city life. But then again I do appreciate the fact that he smarten up real quick though instead of the audience cringing at his faux pas and getting into mistakes. - Love all the couple pairings and their own story line. - I need to add that all the male leads are eye candy in this drama - kudos to the casting team. - Ending for the main couple sucks, definitely could be better or just leave off the last 30min of the drama it would have been better.
Love the episodes of when ML has his temporary amnesia and turns back to when he was 13 and then 8yrs old. Ren Jia Lun's acting was quite good, from being a grumpy sourpuss to an adorable "kid". Also Xie Xian being jealous of this "kid" sleeping in the same bed as Jin Xia.. lol.
Hate: that the fight choreography could be so much better than just a lot of kicking and pushing each other way. Fighting scenes are very lackluster and not very convincing.
O.T.The dot on his nose was a bit distracting to meQC SMILES were extremely distracting to me hahaha
OMG, I thought that dot was a smudge on my screen in the beginning but it's not. Is it a mole? I didn't notice it before? It's also the only thing I can look at when I see his face. LOL
OK update, i'm now on ep 33, the story picks up around ep 20 and before that was all draggy and way too many character introductions and plot points to remember.
how come He Bu Zui doesn't get drunk from drinking so much alcohol? They made it sound like her lack of taste sensation contribute to her having high tolerance for alcohol which scientifically does not make sense.
Did anyone see the drama Life of the White Fox, there's a final fight scene where the location looks very similar to the final fight scene in this drama.
Finished this series and I loved it and cried a lot but I'm still confused: 1) When Ling Long took the Jade bead and she had it en-bedded in her tattoo, doesn't that make her a spirit? She even said she took the bead so she can keep her beauty and youth so when she took it out shouldn't the logic be that she should be either super old and pretty much drop dead? 2) All the heavenly soldiers that didn't return home, did they become mortal? 3) Doesn't giving the bracelet (Yang Jian to Xiao Xiao) to someone affect their mortality (either giver / receiver) 4) Whatever happened to Lin Xia's bracelet after Bai Qi gave it to her?
It is a bit annoying when in on scene ML will say you're my girlfriend to FL but literally the next scene he'll say she's not his girlfriend. This happens way too many times to count. *smh*
