Omg poor Neo! The way production treats their talent is horrific.

The master's daughter ended up being such a great supporting/guest character. She's genuinely wise, kind hearted, and pretty composed. I really admire how she stepped up to help LJL even after getting rejected, and went out of her way to support the "vagabond". Her daddy raised her right, she is seriously racking up some good karma. Please, writers, if she comes back, don't mess with her character, keep her just like this!

He’s officially turned into a side character in the show. He has barely had an impact these past eps, it's been just him running around while she handled it all solo.

Remember that badass LJL from ep 1, who infiltrated a cannibal's den, fought off a gang of criminals, killed a corrupt official in the middle of the chaos, and THEN deliberately sliced his own arm open just to fake being a victim and cover his tracks? God, I miss that ruthless version of him...

Since the script is flipped and she is the dominant in this relationship, RSB now needs to YEARN or "compete" with a SFL hahahaha.

RSB seriously needs to pull a complete 180 in these final episodes, because right now the way things are heading? I’m not seeing a happy ending at all, I’m seeing down the road a straight-up miserable, controlling, toxic marriage.

I don’t buy for a second that she was “testing” him at this point, she already knows damn well he’d do literally anything to stop her from going through with it. This was her way of keeping him on a leash, in the dark and under control, making sure he didn’t derail or ruin her carefully laid plans. She needs to change her attitude and get with the program that a healthy unity is about communicating.

No, she really locked him up just after taking his virginity, while at the same time STILL keeping him in the dark about her plans. That was f*cked up. It's fine if we want to flip the script, but if this was a woman, we would all be up in arms.

It's very doormatish... Like, even in cdramas where the woman is the submissive one, there's usually a solid stretch of episodes where the guy has to chase her hard and compete with a SML. But here? Lu Jianglai is somehow playing both roles, he's the one submitting, groveling, competing and doing all the chasing. There's zero balance, no push-pull, just him constantly bending over backwards while she stays distant with an amused smile.

He needs to play hard to get for at least 5 mins lol.

Omg, it just hit me... I really hope that IF Rong Shanbao actually has a secret plan to escape this marriage, she eventually loops LJL in on it. I would hate to see him out there acting like fool, crashing the wedding and trying stop everything, while she is once again keeping him completely in the dark and playing everyone like chess pieces. Please don't do him like that! The couple that schemes TOGETHER, stays together 😭

I really hope LJL actually listens to Ms. Xu’s advice and doesn’t completely abandon his ambitions for love. He’s got potential to become an outstanding official who could genuinely help the common people. I would be seriously disappointed if the show ends with him throwing away everything he’s fought for just to settle into being a trophy house husband for the rest of his life.

I want him to AT LEAST keep a political career in the province. My preference though would be for RSB to leave her family and start her OWN tea business and they BOTH work together equally and in harmony.
