I've read the novel and watched the manhua (anime) episodes dedicated to this part of the story . Both had the same tragic conclusion and were extremely sad to watch. I hope after the flop of Fox spirit matchmaker 1 , they've learnt their lesson and that they'll edit the ending into a happy one.

I just finished watching it , and it's full of plot twists towards the end. It has such an emotional writing ,that most big xianxia dramas don't have.
10/10 from me despite being a low budget drama
