This episode pretty much confirmed what I've been saying since the beginning, JU is the son of the chairman and his mistress. Behind his wife's back he got him a job at the company, a condo and a car. He's trying to give him the life he couldn't give him before.
It was a fake wedding, but I've seen enough kdramas to know that even if they don't register the marriage, in the eyes of everyone the marriage is official so in a way JU is not lying about HY being his wife. Now that everyone will know he's the husband it'll be fun to see them "fake it" at work.
GH's comment were worse than I thought and JY is hurting because of him. He wished her to die and now she wished the same for him. Wonder if there's going to be a misunderstanding about the almost accident and she'll feel guilty thinking he really did try to...that could be the opening for them to start getting to know each other. I have to say it was funny to have GH be very weak and barely able to lift some weights when SY is the opposite.
Preview: could the press conference be about JU? Did the chairman tell him who he is and wants to announce it to the whole company? It might be too soon for that, then again, if everyone knows he's the illegitimate son it would add more "problems" to the fake marriage. She would become the daughter in law of the chairman so more eyes will be on them.
yeah the big question now is why isn't she calling him out on the cheating and what's with the vague conversations…
From the small conversations they had in ep 7 it sounded more like they stayed together out of habit since they've been together for so many years. I think the only reason they decided to get married is because it was the logical next step. Probably a bit of pressure from her mom too. Maybe when she saw him kissing someone else she didn't feel anything and that made it clear for her that it was better to end a relationship that emotionally was already over. That's why she's not making the cheating a big deal.
Hae In had already mentioned ep 11 twice so I already knew I had to wait.
SR HAD cancer but not anymore and I doubt they'll bring it back. 70% of her stomach was removed which means her lifestyle/diet had to change and right now she's been under stress after everything that happened that's probably why she had the pain in her stomach. Her ex was the only one by her side through the whole treatment because she didn't want anyone else to know so it's understandable that she chose him to take her to the hospital. This isn't the way she would want SH to find out.
SH on the other hand would end up feeling hurt because as close as they are she didn't trust him enough to tell him what she went through 3 years ago. I do hope he ends up finding out because SR tells him and not because his dad found out at the hospital and told him. There was a scene in the trailer where she tells him he doesn't know how she feels so that's probably coming up next week.
I do understand the reaction SR's dad had about her cooking. He more than anyone knows how the struggle and how difficult it is and wants to save her from it. He'll eventually understand her and support her.
Anyway! I'm still loving this drama and I already knew this wasn't going to be all happy moments so I'm ready for next week.
This episode just ended up leaving me angry. The scandal keeps getting bigger and bigger. JD keeps being happy. I need all that to stop! I want JD to pay for what he has done and I need it to happen now! I don't want him falling on the last episode. I need to see him suffer for more than one episode.
SR's ex cheated on her, but from what it sounds like their relationship was continuing just because of habit not because there was still love between them. They've been together for so many years and got used to each other so the obvious next step was marriage. Maybe when she saw him kissing someone else she didn't feel anything that's why she didn't make it a big deal and it was the excuse she needed to finally end the relationship. Like she told ME, she loved the time she spent with him but knows the best decision was to end things.
Can't deny I love the bickering between SH and SR. Them getting jealous of each other because of the exs. You can clearly see the feelings are mutual. I did like the scene where SH was about to confess and SR asked him not to say anything yet cause there's too much going on in her life right now. She already knows his answer to her question and wants to hear it, but she needs to sort things out with her ex.
I liked that SH (and us) found out SR has been calling almost daily about the results of the project because she knows just how important it is to him. It finally gave him the courage to confess and now it'll be up to her to give him an answer when she's ready.
I also love how the relationship between DH and ME is developing. Her indirectly confessing to him about liking mudflat guy and few minutes later finding out that man is DH. Now they're both a bit flustered and her heart keeps beating fast every time she thinks of him. DH does seem to be very worried about her being a paramedic. His daughter also seems to be very interesting in paramedics which makes me think her mom might have been a paramedic too. Maybe she died because of a patient which is why DH seems worried at times.
Preview: seems like most of us were right about SR liking SH first. Can't wait to see her get all flustered every time she's near him or looking at him.
I'm honestly loving this drama so much. I'm usually good at waiting a week for new episodes of the dramas I watch, but it's been a while since a drama has gotten me this excited for the next episode. This whole past week I kept thinking about this drama and so badly wanting to see what was going to happen and this episode didn't disappoint.
Oh! And I felt so bad for SH's dad. He looked so happy with the flowers just to see his wife with that other man. She doe seem to have a very close relationship with him, but don't think she cheated. It'll end up being a misunderstanding, I hope.
Ok so the moms saw each other and now know who DY and DR are. They already told everyone they broke up and now everyone should be able to guess the reason why, they don't have to tell them they got back together. They can continue dating in secret then figure out a way to have the parents accept the relationship.
I do understand why MR can't accept the name but SJ made some good points and hopefully she ends up giving in soon. WR was only HW for 5 years of his life, but WR has been with him for 30 years.
I know it's not important but I don't know why it bothers me how WR and SJ just leave things open on the coffee table of the Han's living room. WR left his important childhood items all over the table while eating dinner and SJ did the same with the necklace and earrings. Which leads me to...have we seen the tie pin again after they left the house? Cause NY could've easily taken it since she noticed JT's reaction. The preview shows he goes into WRSJ's room to look for something, which is probably the tie pin, but this is why I think maybe NY already has it.
I like Kwak Shi Yang and he's done some great villains and his character on this drama was one of the best ones. The episode was definitely difficult to watch.
I know some are saying so many people knew and didn't want to help JY, but the way I saw it...the judge and arbitrators kept asking over and over if she had evidence, not to dismiss the case, but because they knew she was telling the truth and wanted to help her but without the evidence their hands are tied.
What JY went through was horrible and it's sad how she kept going back to her parents' house asking for help even though they always sent her back to him. They were terrible parents and now that she was murdered it looks like the mom is going to be crying in court as if she didn't send her own daughter to her death.
I think this has been the best episode so far and I can't wait to see them bring down HS...at least I hope they do.
Can't deny that I liked seeing HS leave NY at home instead of staying with her like she wanted. In the preview he says he'll think only of his child and he has 2 tickets, will he be taking NY with him to get her away from his family?
I get that MR wants WR to legally become HW again but I think it's a good compromise to change only his last name back to Han, in a way that's the more important one when it comes to the family registry. He has lived for over 30 years as WR, it would be difficult to be called something else. Changing only Chae to Han will still get him in their family registry and legally become her son again.
