From what I can surmise, the reason why Bai Jue can't remember her as Shanggu was because he's currently undergoing…
Yep, I think so too. Its more that he senses the familiarity. Its like Bai Jue (am making assumptions basing on other xanxia - his immortal body is sleeping while this version QingMu is doing the tribulation) only recognized her when she had activated when her chief god powers were activated, not as Houchi. The body under tribulation usually starts off as a clean slate so no memories.
Its amazing to think that in a new life time and the only female who interests him is still just Shang Gu in whatever form she is in.
I don't know why they- the so called good guys are all so weak, I was so close to supporting the villians because even though they are terrible people at least they get results. I can't believe how the bad guys have muddled their way into killing several people and gotten away with it too.
So, am back after watching the drama. You were right, it's a quick fun watch. The only issues I had were plot wise, for a security professional there were 3 times when I was like why are they not sweeping for bugs only for that to be a plot device. Also, the actress who played Wasa was very good. The character was your usual crazy second female lead but she really stood out to me.
Loved the show. its been a while since I was glued to a show from start to finish without getting bored or distracted. Impressive world building. Si Teng has very quickly made it into my top 3 fave characters after Ying Lou and Ming Lan.
I am of two minds, on the one hand I feel bad for him but I can't reconcile that with the fact that he hasn't…
That's a good point, maybe he just doesn't want to see it. Pffft - why mess with a successful formula. If doesn't turn evil, I will be very pleasantly surprised

On a separate note, mad respect on the username. John Wick is one of the few western franchises I still watch
