Highly unlikely, since it appears that she was killed with the dagger that Changge gave to LiShimin- no other reason for that dagger at the scene covered in blood. Besides they showed crown prince being boxed in at the gate and Li Shimin wasn't there.

I think its the skin smoothing technique that's been used in this show. Both the female leads faces just look off. I didn't realise why it was nagging at me until a scene from the later episodes where FL is having a conversation with 2 characters and as they cut back and forth you can see the pores on their faces but not on hers
Slowly but surely the writer is adding more and more characters that are going on my shit list and some that just get better with time. ML's dad is so decent, its refreshing. Fl's mom was also so balanced that pleasantly surprised. The latest addition to the shit list is that former classmate of Mo Fei's - anybody who can say bad things about a "friend" to someone else rather that the person in question can not be good. I had a moment of thinking that maybe she has decided to latch on to Xueling so that she can become a permanent employee and then I didn't know how to feel about that. I respect that it a reality of environment but I couldn't like her for having to make that decision.

Yes, it was like that in the earlier episodes. It took them a while to realize that they liked each other, and then have the courage to say it out loud to each other. Most especially the ML, he liked her way before she liked him but it took him forever to say it to her so much so I wanted to punch him but now they are together and its just like being in a warm cozy marshmallow
