The actress and her brother came to this guys home when he wasn't there and the mother not knowing that the lady was pregnant / I think the lady herself didn't know at that time- the mother gave them money and told them to get lost and never even told her son. Considering how much she likes have more grandkids she would have kicked that lady out of the house if she knew. nope, she would have kept her until the baby was born then got rid of the mother probably.
She didn't want that lady to stay around because it would have jeopardized the really important marriage of that son. Its all about alliances and stuff like that.

What I minded the most were those mustaches - they were the true crime of that scene. As for everything else, yes. Although I think since the boys are older they get sent to like an academy or don't they have to take the imperial exams or something like that.

The only thing I will say in SH's defence is that he was drugged. Ohara took advantage of his inebriated state and then got pregnant so he did the decent thing like the goodie too shoes that he is supposed to be and married her. She basically raped him but whatever. Am not on his team but I can't get onto HJ's team either. Would it be too much to ask that our heroine had a decent guy who while not perfect is not so much of a fixer-up so to speak like HJ is or lame like SH

Yeah. I also don't think our heroine has it in her to be as cruel to them as they were to her. All that she has done so far has been so weak revenge-wise.

I so badly want to rewatch this but I don't think my heart can take ep 40 at the moment!

OMG, I just realised that the SML is the same guy who played the reprehensible character in story of Yanxi Palace. I only remembered him from Arsenal Millitary academy and I really like his character in that. Lets hope I can forget him from this too because this is not a flattering character

If you like slow burn stories then go ahead. Fair warning thou, there are some tropes that are recycled but overall, I enjoyed the story.

Wasn't it ingeniousness when in episode 20, Xueling and that assistant were talking about original designs- for a second I was like wait what, didn't you plaigarise and get caught Mo Fei which why they had a grudge against her.

ML was so awesome today, he said everything I wanted him to say to Xueling. I don't know why people think they are irreplaceable at work - they are not.
