Shiyi is hesitating about committing to Xu Lingyi because then that means that this is permanent. She is, what I call a ride and die girl. Once she is in, she is in it for life.

Shiyi had initially entered into the Xu household to investigate her mother's murder and she planned to leave that house after. She didn't expect to fall in love with Lingyi or to have to depend on him and she is scared of putting her faith in him and then being disappointed so she is keeping a little bit of herself back.

The experience of being left to fend for themselves out in the countryside has shaped her outlook on life. While Shiyi is kind and considerate, she doesn't go out of her way to cause trouble unless somebody starts it.
Shiyi came into the house believing that Xu Lingyi is a man like her father who did nothing to protect her and her mother from his wife. It didn't help that she witnessed him with Qiao when she first met him. Never mind that that was a set up.

Now the hard bit has been done. As more time has passed Shiyi has realized that Xu Lingyi is a man worth leaning on but unfortunately while she was there hesitating the relationship/trust has been damaged. Now she is the one who is going to have to work at winning him over and about time to. Its her turn now to do the wooing.

As a little side note - it was easy for Shiyi to tell SML about investigating her mother's death because she doesn't expect any deeper connection with him and she was caught in a compromising situation and she decided to trust her gut that he wouldn't disappoint her but if he did then she could recover from it because she didn't invest so heavily emotionally.

Just some random thoughts I had about the show.

Don't tell you actually believe that was a real letter. Xu Lingyi is not the kind to jump to conclusions like that. Especially since he knows what each of those women is like. I think he is playing along.

Ohh, I couldn't agree more. I couldn't make it through that drama because of how toxic the relationship was. Is it so difficult for couples to just communicate?
I really liked how ml and fl in this drama, especially the ml was so supportive of his queen and knew what she could or couldn't do. It didn't hurt that the fl was no damsel in distress.

Mwahhhhh! We got the subbed episodes before the raw episodes are online. Its only a few mins early but still it makes up for not having subbed previews

I know its going to be ridiculous but the idea of a male harem where the men get pregnant is too out there for me to pass up.

Yes, I get where you are coming from. I try to be very very patient with the characters especially the women in these harems because they are a product of their society and there really is nothing they can do about it. I draw the line at murder though. Killing a man's wife so that you can replace her is just wrong especially if the guy can't stand you to begin with.
As more time passes I realise why wife number 1 did what she did. She was right, there is no way her boy would have survived if the legal wife was from another family especially Qiao.

ML says he wants to divorce her in the clip when he is talking to the FL's brother. But again, I still feel like it a ploy for ML and FL to work out who are the trouble makers at home especially with the Ou family constantly on watch to create trouble and not just regular trouble, the kind that gets the whole family killed.
Disclaimer - The only mandarin I know is the product of a years of watching Cdramas so I may have missed a few words here and there.

I got over that off feeling and kept watching. Its a very easy watch- I am so ready for the revenge its not even funny!

Seee, that's what I was worried about. Why no subs? What's the point of watching the show early if there are not subs?
Iqiyi has been very good on that in the past, expect on the show My heroic husband but the subs were late by a week and but then when they uploaded the rest of the series early the subs were available.

I have seen something similar on Iqiyi for their more popular shows but this my first time with this type of scenario on wetv.

The english site of WeTv doesn't offer the VVIP subcription? Does any one know what that's going to mean for the on demand episodes that shall be released on the 10th (eps 25-30)
