I was a little disappointed that she danced of HZ before her husband but I got over that very quickly because the next story arc has left me speechless.

Exactly! Here mother was very open and honest about the dangers of exposing her talent and specifically asked her not to seek revenge but that seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I can forgive many things but that kind of naivety the kind that can get a person killed in the palace is not something I can just let pass. It shows that the writer doesn't understand the nuance required for an intelligent character and for this to show up in the first 3 eps doesn't bode well for the rest of the show. It may just be that I just watched this after The Story of MingLan so these characters seem dumb in comparison...

While I understand that he has been forced into that relationship for whatever reason that does not give him the right to involve another party without fully disclosing it. He has broken that social contract and there for now he is irredeemable in my eyes
