Anyone who watched the original Chinese version ? Would you recommend ? And are there many differences ?
The CDrama is worth a watch. Its a parody, extremely low budget and not to be taken seriously. The costumes are atrocious. The product placement is a for a Viagra type pill and so watching those segments was hilarious.

Yeah, I initially took issue with how Hao Chen's story arc was wrapped up - it was so anticlimactic and seemed too much like the easy way out for the writer.
Now, I recently had cause to watch the last 5-ish episodes again and from that perspective I realized that they are all going through a trial.
Bai Lin's is for him to learning not to let fear of the unknown to lead him to be cruel and destructive there by bringing about his biggest fear.
GoW was a product of Bai Lin's trial but once she was created and had all that animosity to the heavenly realm and Bai Lin in particular she had to relearn about the good in the world and let go of her hate and desire for revenge. Which, she could only have realized after Si Feng's sacrifices.
