Bowties are cool

I really liked this, although I may be biased. Bai Lu is pretty good in every show and I have seen all her shows so far. She has a knack for picking scripts with strong FL in one aspect or another.
Its a really sweet, more grown up love story. The romance was slow to build though.

Fair warning though, she had a wig on for this show because she had cut her hair for Arsenal Military Academy (another gem) and some people couldn't get past the wig.

Her parents in this are awesome, this show also has my favorite second female lead in a drama ever. She is like a complete person, not just there to like the ml and to be jealous of the fl.
So in answer to your question, yes. watch it.

Exactly!! Lets not forget that he has repeatedly mistreated her, to the point of blackmailing her to marry him.
She gets to take a beat and decide if she trusts in his love or not.
I can never understand why viewers give ML's a lot of slack while nitpicking on the FL.

Its actually the subbed episodes that are like that. The raw episodes are fine.

General is bad at soldiering, why have rebels been able to break into his house which is inside the guarded city gates twice in 3 episodes? Or that's what the scriptwriters wants us to think.

Its quite the opening episode! I hope it stays this promising.

Yes, I agree. I couldn't watch season 2 even though I love season 1 and thought lead from that was actually not the best actor.

I never realized how appealing it would be to watch the FL doing that whole spinning and protecting the ML in a fight. Good stuff.

FYI- Alan Yu's character actually has a personality in this show. Color me, very surprised.
