Just came to check in, has Alan Yu’s acting gotten better?
Its decent, I will say that this the best I have seen him aside from TMOP.
Am starting to thinking that I imagined him being that good in that because of how typecast he has been. (Or maybe like a twin brother or someone wearing one of those face masks that can also make people taller and change voices.)
Suffice it to say that if you were going to avoid the show because of his acting you shouldn't.
WY has no courage.. or maybe he thought that he can escape the marriage?
He is spineless, and I can forgive him for that. I understand that he was forced into it. I can understand that he gave into the marriage to protect his family and QH. I know that, but really, you don't tell QH. There are no circumstances under which it is ok for her to hear such news from anyone other than himself never mind how she found out.
The thing I liked most about this drama is that its is very much MoXin's (in Mo Wan's body) story. Too often there are stories that are pitched like as if the FL is the main focus of the drama but then the script writer cant help themselves by making it centered around some man in the FL's life. Am not knocking drama's like that, am just saying that its refreshing that this drama stayed FL's story to the end. This is far from perfect, the editing, the hapzard character development for some of the side characters but overall it was an enjoyable watch.
Am glad I waited for this drama to finish airing. Its actually quite an enjoyable watch. The leads are really great characters and am happy for the introduction to Jerry Yan.

And hello, how crazy is it that she wanted QH to be a concubine - Its not like as if they can force her to marry. Her family has already been killed by that masked guy who I suspect is princess's grand father. QH can just say never in a million years. While the emperor would busy himself organizing a marriage for the princess, he would not stoop to the point of forcing a commoner to marry into the princess household.
