The FL is spoiled by her sister and her mother. This is definitely a case where I don't feel bad that her dad is trying to impose discipline because she clearly deserves it. Overall, thou she is willful and spoiled she is not a brat and neither is she mean. She just doesn't seem to care what is proper for a young lady of her time.

She chose to disregard that her brother (a chief prosecutor by trade) tried to kill a prince 3 times, something he did not deny.

I understand being mad that somebody you considered one of your only friends has led to your brother family getting caught for a crime he committed but how about if he didn't commit the crime to begin with.
His actions led to those circumstances not Fu Rong's. So, I was most disappointed that that is where they were heading with her character because I was expecting her to think about the situation and try to at least figure out WHY her brother tried to assassinate a prince not once but three times. He is not usually like that so what is different about this situation. As opposed to going the easy route and choosing to lay the blame for that situation on Fu Rong. while I am glad that the conflict is not romance related, I hoped that it would have deeper reasoning.

The second one doesn't appear until episode 8. Its really got me questioning if the translation for childhood sweetheart on IQIYI is accurate. This the second drama (the moon brightens for you is the other drama) where a princess has introduced herself as a childhood sweetheart when they actually meant childhood friend.

From the little I have gleamed from the situation on here, it seems that he has become the target of campaign to ruin his image. In this particular case it seems like his fans were the scapegoat.

My original point, poorly phrased as it was, still stands. That people should only ever have to be held accountable for their own actions.

Yes, I did also notice that more of the female characters, especially the smaller roles actually have personalities in this drama as opposed to being there to drive the plot along by being jealous.

This show has been full of so many epic moments that just hit you in hard.
I have really loved the camaraderie she has with the soldiers.

They are so inconsistent with the previews.
Some days they are there and gone the next.

I find it kind of crazy that he has to bare the burden for what his fans do like as if its job to control his fans. He should only be held responsible for his own actions.

This show would have a higher rating if it didn't have so many flash backs and recap at the beginning of the show. Its because of things like this that they instituted the 40 episode cap.
The disappointing thing is that its a great show with a good unique story dynamic so that it deserves a higher rating than the 7.7 it has

Bai Lu is knocking it out of the park.
She has been consistently good in every show she has done since the Legends.
