Managed to get part way into episode three before the MEH! factor hit too hard. Magic happens and a gamer/mangaka/loser is suddenly cool and useful - people die with a quick flashback to their past to make it sad. Really laboured twisted statement about the human condition (we are pretty shit apparently). Not even the Ha ji Won impression held my interest. It's slick with some cool effects but it's paper thin and been done before, Not for me I'm afraid.

Ratings usually start really high when the show is airing as a lot of people are invested in it and discussing it as it broadcasts (especially if it has idols or popular actors in it). The scores will usually start to fall after it airs as more people who aren't invested try it out without the support of live discussions with other fans. Two or three years down the line is where you really see how good a drama is - if it's still being watched AND rated highly.
It's worth looking at the most popular drama list as opposed to the highest rated.
For a drama that's been out 4 or 5 years and that's still being watched anything over a score of 7 means it's worth a try. Unfortunately people get obsessed with the score and upset when it doesn't reflect how they view a show.

You can still review it after it has finished airing - it might still be airing in some countries. I've had discussions about shows that aired twenty years ago on MDL - it's a review site, you can discuss and review anything you like from whenever. You can say you liked something you can say you hated it - most people will just be glad you gave an opinion.
