is the popularity list more trustworthy? i'll try it. thanks!
Mostly, it has a bias towards newer dramas because so many more people watch them these days but it means that all those '9.5 because the actors are cute' dramas tend to be much further down the list as more of us are drama fans than are actor fans.
It's often better to look at where they are on the Popularity list rather than the high score list - especially for older dramas. Many fans are invested in the score of 'their' drama rather than it's quality.
Watched the first few episodes but not my bag I'm afraid. I can cope with weep fests like 1 Litre and Oh My Geum Bi but this seemed just a bit too contrived.
Oh I say! half way through and this is splendid - I can see I'll be greeting like a babby by the end of this one. If I could find the comment where this was recommended alongside 49 days I'd say thanks.
The pacing in this is all over the shop, so far I'm surviving it by only watching the Joseon Ladies and using FF to get through the rest. Still we are halfway through by episode count yet it feels like we are an eighth of the way in in terms of story.
After episode 9, I came to a conclusion that this drama is junk food of K-dramas: you feel full when watching…
They have all basic ingredients but it's as if they are meal being made for a fussy child's palate. Like ramyeon without the sachet of spices... or an egg. You can eat it as an an adult but it's just for sustenance not for real pleasure. I find many romance Cdramas have a similar feel all fluff and no real jeopardy. You'll think back in a years' time and you'll be hard pressed to remember more than a scene at best.
