I lost but in my defence I've never watched more than 2 episodes of any of her shows

Well that got more of a laugh then the 3 episodes I watched of this

Is the white face, pink eyes, red lips thing supposed to be from a certain era or is it just a modern thing that makes post processing easier?

It's on the list I just have to leave it long enough I think. I tend to go back to things after a year or two just to check, unless something really strong kicked me out as in this case.
If I'm not liking it I don't watch it, I'm not a completionist.

Having commented on her acting etc. - Botox really is a handicap for actors isn't it? When they cry, laugh, grimace in pain and so on but most of their face moveth not...

Same way as Woody Allen and his adopted daughter - they weren't biologically related either. Wanting to bang someone you were brought up/lived with as a relative (when children are involved) is creepy, no matter the genetics.

I would defo go with Master of my Own over As beautiful as You and A Fox's Summer has to be right up there on the LOL meter - patchy but great chemistry and fun.
Go Ahead the whole verging on incest spoilt it for me - loved it till I realised where it was going.
She's up there on my favourite actresses list and whilst she is tiny and baby faced she isn't a manufactured waif and SHE CAN ACT!!

Which Mulan? if we are talking 2009 then I'm not sure these cut it

Not a big C- drama fan but i did start a few of these but failed to make much headway with them.
I enjoyed a splendid match even though it was cheesy (or because?) it fell to bits at the end and became unwatchable to me.
I also managed a fair chunk of Pursuit of Jade before losing interest it was just all tooo.... made up?.
I think I don't get a lot of the 'cultural short cuts' used so it doesn't always make sense to me. In Pursuit of Jade for example I just didn't get her as this powerful warrior - I understand it is 'Martial Arts' so she can do these things with her inner power but...

I also find many of the actors are a bit too smoothed out and beautiful so I don't get the emotional link to them I require - Ren Min's eyebrow took the acting crown ...
There are a couple of actors than I can't watch in any story even though I keep trying, in C-drama's Esther Yu takes the lead and I barely managed the Viki clip for RTS, as soon as she does the shoulders back head down, pout and look up through your eyelashes bit I'm out.

Thanks for all the suggestions though I'll try as many as I can - I don't fall often but when I do I fall hard.

Well didn't expect it to grab me but it did. I nearly had a spasm at KHJ's younger self - another series with a lead whose face can't emote Noooooo! but fortunately it was just processing.
