Failed to hook me, I like a good weep but preferably a little less telegraphed

loved the feel of the first few episodes but slowly lost interest to the point where I dropped it at the start of episode 11. Can't even remember dropping it to be honest which is always a bad sign.

For me the storytelling, direction and cinematography today seem rushed and poorly planned. I’m rewatching Moon…
Like many of the actresses faces they have all the right ingredients but only half the range to express them. Which leaves them all a bit smoothed out and bland.

Episode 4 and loosing the will to live, slow with unlikeable characters, it's a testament to the actors and the intriguing concept (and the FF button) I got this far.

I wasn't captured by this one at all CWS playing the same old character PBY with frozen face. I got to episode 2 in a couple of goes but stalled there I wasn't engaged with any of the characters. I may try again if I get stuck for something to watch.

Have there been ANY dramas that you’ve actually liked in the last five years? I don’t think I’ve seen a…
There are a lot of assumptions going on here.

If it makes you feel better I didn't particularly enjoy Season3 of Killing Eve either and I only managed the first season of Lost in Space (I came to it late).
I recently rewatched The End of the Fucking World which is a great bit of TV but I'm STILL struggling to finish Season 6 of The Expanse.
I rewatched the BBC Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth one) and still revelled in it I have the Persuasion mini series as well but I'm saving it.
I find it very hard to replace the Asian Romantic Comedies with western ones they are always leaping into bed far too quickly or are just too American for me but relatively canon Jane Austen works.

Is it comforting that I also struggle with other regions or is it worse?
Sorry 🥹

Reset, The Kidnapping Day, Love Like The Galaxy, Crazy Love, The Glory for a few but you are right I've definitely been leaning towards the 'don't like it' side of things. 2016-19 are probably my most enjoyed years - I've completed 123 dramas from that period and I rarely finish what I don't like. 2020-24 I've only managed 44

Ikr, as I'm rewatchingI just wanna take bosong and run away
Ones that I can watch over and over - Goblin, My Mister, J & K versions of Mother (K is an easier watch but J is a stunner), Love Like the Galaxy though I rarely finish pt II, Fox's Summer again Pt II fizzles, Oh! My Lady, Boku Dake ga Inai Machi.
And Yours?

A drop list larger than the completed list is a sign of discernment and taste 😁
Well that and the ability to overcome your investment hang ups.

Review Secret Garden
It hasn't aged well has it? It was one of my first Kdramas and so many of the tropes were new to me when I watched it but the Jerk lead got old really fast. I was glad I persisted as it got better as it went along but I've never managed to rewatch more than an episode or two since, so I never reach the 'good bits' which probably colours my opinion a fair bit.
