It's not so much about gender as power imbalance.

I was just watching eps 5 and 6 and thinking the same thing. The getting in her space is really obvious when he's that much taller and she does that rabbit in the headlights look. It's not Romantic anywhere but in Drama Land chaps. Especially if you contrast it with her tipsy self running up and hugging him - that felt warm and cute . An unpremeditated act of affection that he reacted to in a positive way. Rather than his constantly looming over her whilst she looks uncomfortable. I just don't see the need for it he could do nice things for her without being so smarmy and intimidating. They have great chemistry when they are being cute.

Yeah I couldn't cope with it for long either. It's on my list of -
'Jerk Leads that are so utterly a Jerk that you would rather put your own eyeballs out then watch them get the girl as a reward for their total Jerkness (notwithstanding whatever relationship they have with their father or their childhood traumas etc.)'

I think I have two drama 10s in my list and as you say they are perfect for me but your mileage might vary. I must admit to rarely watching things that rate under 7. With most viewers over rating if it's under 7 it is usually pretty pants.

I really don't get his popularity, in terms of acting that is. I mean he's just not really that good; unless you want him to be Lee Min Ho which he is at least average at.

Sung Joon was such a twat in this I've found him hard to watch afterwards, especially if playing a jerk lead.

Which I'm fairly sure is a misquote of a film? Unfortunately that's how I've come to feel about reviews, not just here but in general. To me a 10 is an ultimate score not just good but eminently rewatchable, no skipping on the first watch, no complaints* re: plot, casting, acting etc.

If I check your watch list and you have half a dozen or fewer 10s I'll read your 10 reviews. As long as you only give 10s when you've watched all episodes. If there are only a few reviews for a title I might read them as well.

* Okay, okay very few!

If unsure then Reviews - I rarely if ever bother with 10* reviews but will always look for the lowest score reviews first and top out at around 8.5*.

Nope same for me two episodes was enough for me. I didn't like any of them male or female so why watch them. 'Bad Boys' are a hard sell for me I'm afraid.

A review that's funnier than the show.

I found "A Piece of Your Mind" very easy to put down and very difficult/impossible to pick back up.
"Catch the Ghost" was just too ...trite it lost me with the initial ML to FL dynamic though it is on my list for a revisit at some point.
I'll have to pop in on the other two (though 'sexual content' isn't my bag).

This started out with a lot of promise but ended up loitering in a twee preachy zone.
Shibasaki Ko felt a little wasted on the role of Nozomi but she was ably supported by the rest of the cast if not the script.
Worth a go to see if you can cope,

She's amazing in the first few episodes of Doctors then it gets pants.

One of the few I managed to finish from 2020, thoroughly enjoyable nonsense!

Second attempt got a little further, got bored, put on hold again. Not getting the chemistry between the leads yet either.

The costumes and details are amazing, the production values are good, the story is based on a classic.
I'm so bored.
