Korean version of Life on Mars as a prime example. WTCB I enjoyed at the start but couldn't be bothered finishing the last two episodes. Teacher student dramas are usually a no for me, if not invariably a NO! though I like age gap romance in general.

I'll avoid that one then, I'm defo more of a light and fluffy romance man myself. My other pet hate is Serial Killers. I really loathe the cliched super smart killer trope especially if coupled with the obligatory torturing some poor woman scene.

I'll take a look at VR. I had more capacity to handle Jerk leads when I first started into Kdramas but it rapidly diminished. I think Secret Garden was the main culprit as it was such a roller coaster of love and hate. I'm now at the point where literally one bad scene can ruin a drama for me and even if it's in the last few episodes I won't be able to continue watching.

I might just be unable to watch YSY to be honest. I just checked my list and I've started but dropped all 6 shows I've tried where he has been a ML. I do find her an interesting character but the show on the whole is just meh! to me.

So I watched until the end of episode 2 and it really isn't for me, I wasn't amused merely irritated and confused. It just didn't make any sense, just why did they do those things it didn't match with the characters at all?
Well the initial premise seemed interesting but everything was too obvious, cool, meaningful etc. Cliche characters, oodles of serial killers and lots of stringing things out. Soo Young stood out for me as the best actor, Jang Hyuk was just too hammy even if he had such a terrible part to play. Dropped

Here's some I'm reading and some I enjoyed. Azumi; My ID is Gangnam Beauty; Koe no Kitachi; Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki; Shishunki Bitter Change; Aoi Hana; Saotome Senshu, Hitakakusu; Kimi wa Kawaii Onnanoko; Kimi wa Petto. I don't get on with a lot of the shoujo art style which has limited some of the stuff I read, spindly bodies and massive eyes are just too weird. KWP and KWKO I have to read in bursts for that reason. In true otaku style though I've been enjoying shoujo ai, the romance is sweeter and the ecchi less obtrusive, not that I have a problem with pants and boobs but it breaks or becomes the narrative a little too often.
Haha, I've actually added this to my re-watch list recently in order to give it another chance. I don't know,…
Same here I've had three goes at it now but I just end up thinking he's too pathetic so why does she tolerate him? Because he's rich is the only answer that makes sense but it doesn't make a romance.
You got further than I did and wrote a much better review - which I wholeheartedly agree with! I'm so glad I didn't last until the Princess Lessons, I would have loathed them.
Didn't get through two episodes before I had cliche overload and gave up. I admit the initial role reversal had me interested but she needed saving far too quickly.

Mangadex is my goto.
Just trying too hard I guess.
