Because of how annoying her crying character was I ended up skipping most of her scenes while watching Hwarang which in turn got me lost with the story line in some places.

LMFAO....Love020 was my 2nd modern Asian drama and I only watched it because I was following Vin BinBin's career. Sadly the main couple left such a bad taste that I was full on with the BL aspect of the story line or the lack of it in the drama.
While reading your article I was thinking that it perfectly describes all of female leads and side female characters in any Kdrama (stressing the kdrama genre). I think I'm put off with Kdramas because of FL's and by all means no matter how great the story and plot once romance comes into the fold I'm so done already because just in a snap a supposedly strong female lead character becomes the dumbest character in the story.
With the exception of Donna and Jessica's counter part in this drama....all other female characters are raising the bar of annoyance like hell..even that of the private investigator that Harvey always go to is one boring and lost character here..one thing they did well in this drama is putting a pretty face like that of Hyunsik in Ross's counter part...
At least the counter part of Harvey is as suave as the original himself....Everyone else just make for a boring story already....
They could've done so much with their own spin on an original series but they chose to bomb away.....I mean other remakes have been doing such great jobs of turning a remake into their own spin..This one just flunk at it..When they have an amazing original series to work with..
reviewer PHOPE really got the essence of what went wrong with this drama and why others would hesitate to watch it. The story and arch plots were fairly ok and was bearable up till they tried the romance aspect. First, if your'e gonna do a romance ensure that the FL is a memorable character in some aspect. I would've been more convince for the the gay story plot over that of the romance that was trying to survive out of no where.
The 2 male leads had great scenes in contrast to their interaction with the female lead. Even all of the supporting casting had interesting story plots and then here we are with a female lead as a filler. I guess its possible to some degree when it comes to KDRAMA world.
I'm a bit concern, if these KDrama's in some way depicts the culture and way of life?!?!?!?!?!?!
This drama was suggested because I love love love Cha In Ha, yet the main plot centered around the 2 main lead is so boring that I am dropping the drama all together...No matter how much I'm a fan of Cha In Ha, his presence alone can't salvage this drama especially when he had limited screen time....
Anyhow, focusing on the drama the FL is boring, ML is better suited to the 2nd ML and the 2nd FL has more character to become the FL. I see below a lot of people feel just about the same with me about this drama...
yeah I came to watch this drama for Ahn Jae Hyun and MinSeok.....but was a bit thrown off with the direction of AhnJaeHyun's character...so immediately after MinSeok's appearance I lost interest in the show as a whole...so yeah shelf this drama until further notice to finish it....xoxo
