Even when I was deep in bl I never liked fan services. Many fans enjoys fan service and i tried to force myself enjoying the fan service but just couldn’t. I honestly feel so bad for bl actors though some of them looks so uncomfortable doing fan service that you can feel it. Some actors enjoys it though so good for them. And some actors are downright homophobic but doing bl to gain popularity btw this point is for all the countries doing bl. I am not targeting specific country or actor.

Japan is like this though they are not big on promotioning their series for international fans and as they are like this for both bl and straight series I will not judge them hard and there are countless fan pages in fb and in insta for bl and for hetero series so words are out about this series but at this point I think its about taste and also ofc small proportion of people like you who are probably not that active in finding or knowing about series which are not so easily accessable. Understandable.
