What I would like to see in the story is Dong Fang Qing Cang falling for little orchid without losing his power in the end, but I wonder whether that's possible the way the story unfolded so far... But still hoping against hope.

Yes. I liked the outfit worn by the main male lead when he was locked up inside the Haotian Tower. I also liked his blue costume worn by him in the forest. However, I didn't like the black costume that much. To me, that one requires alterations.
The demon king's palace looks so beautiful compared to that of the heavenly realm. Everything looks colourful inside the silent moon palace. Wow...if I were little orchid, I'd prefer to stay inside the devouring Immortal bedroom.😂😊
But what I would like to badly know is why wasn't the demon king hurt after little orchid was whipped? Why didn't he get the same injuries on his body?

There's a lot of deviation from the details and sub plots, but the basic outline of the story is somewhat similar to what's presented in the novel however, with some modifications. So the drama version of the story is both different and same as the one narrated in the novel.
I just wish they didn't include the second male lead character in the plot. I'm starting to feel a bit bad for him even though I want to see only the demon king and little orchid end up together.
Btw, the soundtrack played as bgm during the rescue scene in episode 8 is so beautiful!

I think all those details were made up for the drama version of the story which is why I like the original plot more than the drama version.
