In episode 1, in the first minute we learn that the only one who can take down DFQC is Orchid. At the beginning…
I too love to see Dongfang's love tree repaired, but I don't want to see him end up in a sorry state where he is absolutely weak & useless. That won't be a satisfactory ending even if orchid keeps loving him no matter what kind of state he is in.
I feel like like what Dongfang said to Little orchid regarding how his sufferings began from the time she entered his life is so apt from that character's point of view. I hope little orchid will focus not only in curing his love tree but also in finding ways to make him retain his powers so that he remains strong. Seems like orchid is unable to sense the conflict in Dongfang's mind clearly yet.
omg, I will repeat it again, this drama is amazing.I didn't expect the twist, he may soften with XLH but when…
What you say is true, but Dongfang hasn't done anything that can can be called truly villainous yet. He was more like being extremely bad-tempered compared to his personality before his imprisonment. I wish they'd show one episode where Dongfang goes all truly devilish and villainous towards little orchid before his transition to an anti-hero & maybe then into a hero. Only then, this character's evolution into his best self will be more convincing.
Now ppl saying the drama is very different from the novel is worrying me...I don't wanna read the novel rn cause…
I wish they stuck to the original plot in the novel, but I'm willing to keep an open mind for now because the story so far is interesting, entertaining.
Did he have to kiss her the second time to spite CH ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I think at that time Dongfang did that because kissing her was the only way to stop little orchid from leaving with the god of war. Also, this was a hint to dishearten the god of war & make him leave the place as soon as possible. If it were not for the steamy hot kiss, perhaps the god of war would've been more reluctant to leave & would have fought to death with Dongfang. By doing this, Dongfang was trying his best not to break his promise to Little orchid to not kill the second male lead.
As for emotional part, Dongfang's love tree isn't completely healed yet, but a single leaf did sprout. So maybe there was a bit of emotion. Spite itself is an emotion. I guess there was a bit of possessiveness & spite. Maybe there was a bit of affection. It's difficult to tell. Even if there was, I think the Devil was following some logical line of reasoning to get what he wants --- make the second male lead leave & keep orchid by his side to fix the destiny book, and maybe also because he needs her subconsciously though he hasn't realized that yet because his love tree is only starting to heal.
Anyway, even if Dongfang kissed orchid to spite the second male lead, it's perfectly reasonable. Judging throm the point of view of his character, Dongfang is still a devil. He hasn't turned into a complete better version of his self yet. Only when Orchid is all by herself, Dongfang tries to be a better person in front of her, though he hasn't realized that fact yet. In front of others, even if orchid is present, Dongfang wouldn't bother. He chooses to be devilish. Afterall, he is more like an anti-hero. So I guess doing things to spite someone is part of Dongfang's nature (for now anyway).
Did DFQC have to kiss XLH a second time in front of LCH ? I liked it tho. 🤣🤣🤣

What is a Xianxia without doomed love ? This is the equivalent of white truck of doom in a kdrama
In the novel, the demon king never lost any powers even after he realized his love for little orchid which is why I keep wishing the same happens in this drama too.
What I would like to see in the story is Dong Fang Qing Cang falling for little orchid without losing his power in the end, but I wonder whether that's possible the way the story unfolded so far... But still hoping against hope.
I liked the scene where the moon supreme lord slips on the bangle made with his heart's blood onto the wrist of little orchid while she lies half conscious. It was so charming to watch.
