This drama is quite good! It is better than I expected!
And the female lead is so skilled & beautiful & quite reasonable! I truly admire the female lead! She kind of reminds me of the female lead in "Lost Love in Times" Drama.
I especially loved the three round contest between the female lead & the other princess to win the title of the fourth princess consort. It was so thrilling to watch! There was a similar contest scene for female candidates in "Lost Love in Times" too!

Title Dawn Is Breaking Spoiler
So, how did the main male lead survive those three intense harsh stabs + falling off the cliff? 😅
I'm getting curious to find it hard to wait for the next episode. 😄

I have no comment to make about your post one way or the other except to say, "What am I missing?" Did the ML…
I don't think he deliberately planned to orchestrate her family's massacre. But because he was involved in the palace powerplay & struggle for the throne fight, I guess he found the 'framing of the female lead's dad' event quite serendipitous & used this chance to not take any action & remain silent. Also, at that time, he wasn't in a deep relationship with the female lead, so he most likely wouldn't have felt remorse or regret in the past. He will only think about securing his position so that he doesn't have to live a tragic, 'nobody', desolate life like his mom did. He was just taking precautions, so that he can free himself from his hardships of the past, and his 'then' present.

Based on what I saw in the episodes so far, the male lead didn't 'orchestrate', but when the female lead's family was framed, he did grab the chance to remain 'silent'. But at that time, the male lead was not in a relationship with the female lead. Also, he was trapped in power struggle with his brothers. He had to take care of himself. He was being quite reasonable and logical. Anyone in that situation might have done so. The male lead's mom died unjustly, so only if he gained power he can live life the way he wants, and not get bullied again. Even the female lead encouraged him to be powerful so that he can protect everyone he cares about (before of course, she turned against him because of her so called 'righteous ' reasons) .
The male lead's palace life and position is so precarious everyday that one misstep from his part will result in his elimination from his world forever.
But he did tell the female lead after his feelings grew deeper for her that he did regret what he did.
I think the make lead is a morally grey, decisive character who never has the good fortune or opportunities to show his good side. Because considering his circumstances, if he shows his good side, everyone will either kill him or abandon him or leave him.

I simply don't understand this convoluted thinking style of the female lead. Why is she blaming the male lead for everything?
Why should the male lead take responsibility for all her disasters in her life on his head?
I mean, yes, he did remain silent when the female lead's father got wrongfully framed, but at that time he wasn't in a relationship with the female lead! At that time, he was neither her lover nor her betrothed or her husband. So, why should he care about what happens to her family? In the past, he softened enough to allow her to escape despite her warning that she will take revenge on him. That itself was a reckless, selfless move on his part. A truly cruel, evil character wouldn't do that.
At that time, naturally, given the situation the male lead was in, it is only logical that he cares about his own safety & well being and safely maneuver himself through the palace powerplay that embroils him...
After the female lead's comeback to the palace in the guise of a princess, she was the one who took the initiative to use a seductive approach to get what she wants before she started softening up to him. At that time, she was the one who always took initiative to get him involved with her matters. Then again, she gave him hope, and then again, she tried to break up with him as soon as she found out the news of his upcoming marriage. She was not even ready to give the male lead a month's time to settle his 'other marriage problems'. The female lead used him & loved him whenever she needed him, and then always thinks of pushing him away towards another woman or ditching him just because she wants to be 'herself'. If she wanted to be just 'herself' she shouldn't have taken the initiative to mess up the male lead's Incognito life mode from the start!
Also, the female lead is absolutely muddled in the head right from the start. Except revenge, she doesn't think about anything else. And she acts so righteous when she warns others about how scheming the male lead is. Looks like the female lead forgot how scheming she was when she she approached the male in the beginning in the guise of a princess. Had the male lead bern naive at that time, either she would have dumped him for the third prince or fallen into her trap to satisfy her revenge goals. It's a good thing that the male lead is deep , scheming, otherwise he wouldn't have survived the powerplay in the palace upto this point!
And I don't know why the female lead is dumb enough to think the male lead would stand up for a woman's family with whom he wasn't even personally or emotionally involved at that time --- especially when he was embroiled in powerplay with his brothers...
What's more, the female lead is too dull. If she can go beserk & be in 'revenge-mode' just because of one tragic incident (her family's massacre) in her life, then can't she understand how the male lead's mind will be which has been subjected to abandonment, cruelty, humiliation, insults, loneliness, sadness(death of his mom--- his only family) for over twenty years.
The female lead already knew the male lead's background. She should have thought twice before taking the initiative to approach him to mess with his heart, head, & life!
I'm not saying the male lead's actions are right, but if the female lead keeps stabbing him twice in a row, then it's quite unrealistic & stupid to expect the male lead to not take any precautionary measures like taking away her cultivation or martial arts because what if she attacks him next time or tries to take revenge on him next time?

I don't think the female lead is worth it!
The male lead should just give up on a woman like her, and find someone else who can accept him the way he is.

In mu opinion, the scriptwriter & director should've have tweaked both the female lead character & whole plot to make the ending satisfactory unless of course, they have a thing for stupid tragedies!

Me too but i dont see how... 😅
If she understands his background, his motives, his intentions & forgives him, there could be a faint possibility, otherwise nope.
And if he tries to cure her body, maybe there could be a faint hope for him too... 😅
Anyway I just hope they end up understanding each other and live happily.
