Yup.
I realized I got this secret wish only after watching all those details I mentioned earlier.
It's not like I wanted to ship them right after watching first six or eight or even ten episodes.
Also, I'm okay with Jang Uk ending up with Naksu.
It's just that all those details I observed in other episodes plus the farewell scene in episode 19 made me spontaneously wish that way all of a sudden.
It was not like I wanted them to be ship those four persons like that right after watching some initial episodes.
And, I'm not obsessed over seeing my wish come true.
But watching the farewell scene made me spontaneously wish for another possibility.


And just for your information, I haven't read any reincarnation theories read by other shippers yet.

I thought Naksu pushed him away because she thought they were enemies.
And then she met Jang Uk. Things weren't that smooth for them either. She did get tempted now & then to abandon him.
So, I assume it's basically her choice to be with Jang Uk. Maybe the master discipline relationship & Jang Uk's persistence strenthened the bond.

So, what I was trying to convey was such magical, charming ost & "feel the three breath" scenes & secretly treating injuries of the female lead scene etc. could've been alloted to the main male lead instead of saving it for Yul.
Otherwise watching all those makes me feel like they could be a potential couple.

No I want Uk to choose only Naksu.
But certain scenes e.g the one where the blind priestess touches Uk's shoulder when they're suspended in some void- like space when the bad guy tries to forcibly get inside Uk's body through alchemy of souls, made me feel confused whether the production team planned to ship them as a couple. Because the way both of them stay suspended in mid-air, holding onto each other, kind of looked romantic.
Also, master lee mentions once to Jang Uk that Jang Uk reminds him of his master ( the one who wrote words of the heart for his blind but powerful lover).
So, I was wondering whether these details & scenes & dialogues were inserted to show the possibility of some potential relationship between Uk & Naksu's host in future.

Which is why when I saw the farewell scene between Yul & Naksu in ep 19, I thought of pairing these four people that way.

I felt the ost played in the background made me view the whole scene as more intense. The ost seem to give out this deep vibe. That's the problem.

Yup, I know he won't have a chance with her. It was obvious when I watched the episodes.
So, I wonder why bother to direct & present those "feeling the 3 breath scenes" in such a manner.
It doesn't seem to help to make the beauty of the interactions between the main couple stand out in a special, unique, deep way.
They should then omit such scenes with the second male lead, put the focus more on alloting such kind of ost & scenes between the main leads.
Anyway, this was my spontaneous opinion when I watched the farewell scene.

What you said is logically true, but the way they present the interactions in most scenes between Yul and Naksu always gives me the wrong impression that they could be a potential couple.
I didn't even feel that when I saw all kinds of interactions between the crown prince & MuDeok (or sometimes even between the main leads ) except maybe once or twice.
I just feel that the overall story is adventurous & wonderful. The only problem is there are too many males being linked to a single female lead, and the interactions between all of them feels unique, special in their own ways. And the style of interaction & bonding between Naksu & Yul & sometimes between her & the crown prince seem to stand out. That's the problem for me, as a viewer. The interaction between the main leads dont always seem to stand out in any special, memorable way so far till episode 19 except maybe whenever the main leads protect each other when each one senses the other is in danger.

Maybe what you said is most probably right. Yul is definitely someone who never breaks rules, so in the long run it'll be difficult for him to share & endure Naksu's burdens.
Still, I can't help but notice how he chose to stay silent about Naksu's soul shifter identity so far. Also, the chemistry or deep bond between the actors or the characters they portray when I watch the drama is so obvious.
I couldn't sense the same level of deep bond or chemistry between the main leads all the time even if they constantly interact with each other.

I don't have anything against Jang Uk & Naksu being a couple, but the deep farewell scenes & that Yul character's protective, steadfast side is presented & directed in such a way that as a viewer, I found it hard not to empathize & quite puzzled why she didn't choose Yul. I always feel like Yul loves Naksu more than she loves him even before she met Jang Uk.
I guess in the end it's basically her realization that she simply loves Uk more or more like a choice she makes....

Even though I like the main male lead, I felt bad for Yul in episode 19.
I always sense more chemistry between Yul & Naksu in their "sensing Yul's three breaths" Scene. It felt quite deep compared to all those sensible, practical, mundane type interactions between the main leads.
Also, the ost played in the background during the "three breaths farewell scene" made them look more like a couple in my eyes.
My secret wish is to ship Yul & Naksu as a couple & Jang Uk & the blind Jinyowon priestess as a couple even though I know that most probably will never happen.
