Title The Untamed
Since I know that some people who watched The Untamed/MDZS also read and are interested in Heaven's Official Blessing, the author's other novel: The official manhua/comic will begin releasing starting 19 October!! No news for donghua though; just a possible date in 2021 or late 2022.

So glad they are focusing on the Nie brothers...Hopefully they can show some flashbacks of the brother's childhood…
:X Hereee~https://twitter.com/sehanchanhyun/status/1180822550466547712 If you search by the tag NieHuaisang in twitter you will also find a bts with NHS and NMJ riding horses. So I guess the will be many flashbacks with both child and adult NHS!

True! I've read on some Chinese forums (Google Translate is my best buddy recently), and apparently some fans suspect that NHS actually saw his father Qi deviate also when he was barely a child, and due to that, he avoided as much as possible saber training and cultivating his core. Since we can suppose that the mothers of both Nie brother were also dead, NMJ took the responsibility over his half-brother who was then a child, and acted as a father figure who NHS admired (and was scared at the same time:)))Tbh, all these hypothesis that I have read, makes the novel itself 100% more perfect that it already is:))) As you said, flashbacks would be awesome!Edit: Just saw on twitter some photos from the filming set, and yasss! There will be child!NHS and teenager!NMJ!! And a fighting image also with adult!NHS!

Hi, did you watch all of it with Eng subs..? If so which site pls? I'm stuck near the end some episodes are missing…
Hi! I watched it on WeTv under the name of Sand Puzzle, but I remember that 2 episodes weren't translated into English. I think episode..hmm 47 and maybe ep 50. I think there was a 3 min scene between Zhang RiShan and Dr Liang from episode 50 translated on their official youtube channel though:))

Wow i have been waiting for this, i through i never see NHS again, i'm his fans after i read the novel."He was…
Me too! I always thought that the Nie brothers/Nie clan were overseen in the novel! Can't wait for it to air! Ever since I have watched this beautiful fan video, NHS got me! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65lqsVivRwQ The fact that there are soooo many things they can cover (the fact that the Nie clan cultivation method with the saber can bring deviation and kill the user is one good detail that they can discuss in the movie; as it is also the hidden reason of why NHS refuses to carry on his saber except when his Dage yells at him:)) )

Guys!! Beside The Living Dead movie for which we have already seen the trailer, there will be another movie called Fatal Journey which will have as protagonists Nie MingJue & Nie Huaisang. On the poster available, there is also JYG in the side and both he and NMJ don't look dead sooo, I have no idea if it will be something that happened until the resurrection of Wei Wuxian or it's happening after the story concluded. A poster for The Living dead has also been uploaded! No date confirmed yet, though. Here is the link for both posters: https://i.redd.it/70s103wugvq31.jpg

I'm surprised that this drama didn't receive much recognition. Tomb of the Sand is pretty well done considering the amount of CGI that must have been used, and the sweet relationship between Zhang Ri Shan and Dr Liang is just soo cute ( I so wanted more interactions between them)!! The bro feeling is pretty strong in this one also! They underline very well the strong bond between the old trio (WuXie, Fatty Wang and Xiao Ge) and also the relationship between Wu Xie and Li Cu. There were some annoying moments for me regarding Li Cu's best friends but ohh well, it was more towards the ending of the drama and it didn't bother me so much. Also..the ending...Any news of any sequel?:))) I knew that the novel is unfinished/hiatus/whatever, but I would love to watch more in the future! For anyone who wants to start watching this: have patience! Unraveling the purpose of everything is really slow paced but I would say that around 90% of the questions have been answered by the end of the drama.

9.4? Better than Signal? Okay....
Signal, Nirvana in Fire and The World Between Us have a different genre and they target a different kind of audience. For me, Nirvana in Fire will forever be the most exciting historical/revenge/political drama I have ever watched and rewatched. Also, the actors have experience and budget wise it cannot compare to The Untamed which was a low-budget, newbie/unknown (kinda) actors. So based on that, they cannot really be compared; it wouldn't be right ... The World Between Us is also miles away from..everything, really! Just that great of a masterpiece. A one of a kind thriller that makes you binge it all in one night (though for me it has no rewatch value because of the suffering which I don't want to repeat watching). I believe the reason of the high rating of the Untamed is the story, which is captivating, and the great compatibility between all actors (and the BL genre for some). I myself rated all the dramas above with a 10 because they are one of a kind in their genre, although they all have faults either in story or production.

You can read the (unofficial, but excellent) English translation on https://exiledrebelsscanlations.com/grandmaster-of-demonic-cultivation/
There is only this novel. Maybe the source where you found info regarding 4/5 books has actually split the book in more volumes or parts, but on the official Chinese website that the author uploads her work, it's just one novel for this story. The author did revise the novel a few times and just changed some minor spelling or added some more details in her latest revised novel but it doesn't affect the story line. Ohh, and the author has 2 more novels with different characters and a 4th one on the way, soooo maybe there is this confusion regarding the novels

I haven't read the novels, but can somebody tell me/spoil me if in the books they discover what actually happened with the team that uncle Wu San Xing has gone with at the underwater tomb? I swear that I have more questions than answers regarding the mysteries that happened and it's a tad confusing:)) Also...kinda sad that season 3 is actually not a continuation of season 2 since they have left a huge cliffhanger. And also, the actors were perfect for the roles!! Especially Fatty Wang and WuXie!

Title The Untamed Spoiler
I have a question about the original novel plot. Note that I haven't read the novel yet, but just want to know…
If I am not mistaken, the producers weren't able to adapt the idea of Wei Wuxian as the founder of demonic cultivation because of some bans in China. In the novel and anime also, Wei Wuxian creates 3 major things: the Compass of Evil and the Spirit-Attraction Flag ( which you can see in episode 1 and 2 of the drama), and the Stygian Tiger Seal which is what the producers took the idea for the Yin Iron thingy. In the drama he didn't create it, but more like molded it, while in the novel he creates it, I think in the Tortoise Cave. That's also why the cultivation world both fears and admires him. He was also the 1st one who was able to successfully cultivate resentful energy and use it (control corpses and even make Wen Ning, a dead person, to be able to talk and think and retain memories), while nobody else in his generation or before him were able to do it. In the live-action they made it look like he wasn't the first and that Xue Yang was also able to control it or make fierce corpses like Wen Ning. Soo...they kinda downplayed Wei Wuxian a lot. Hope I was able to explain it properly:)

I’m rewatching it again while reading HOB and I cannot believe how beautifully handsome the two main leads are.…
There are some really good crossover fics over AO3! I'm sure there are a lot more in Chinese, but that's what happens when you don't know the language...you cry and hope that somebody will take pity and translate some, like some fans for Nirvana in Fire are doing for the fandom. Here are some of my fav fics with them:

https://archiveofourown.org/works/18816283/chapters/44648194 (Ongoing) https://archiveofourown.org/works/20243728 (One-shot, really good)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/17896520/chapters/42247529 (12k, completed)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/18808807 (13k of fluff and cuteness, completed)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/18683212 (short drabble, completed,fluff)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/18692863 (short, completed, makes you crave for more)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/18960694 (1 chapter long, completed)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/20123026 (one-shot, 5k, really nice!)

These are my favorite, though you can find some more by playing with the tags on AO3. :)

Ahhh every time I start to watch something else I just give up because it isn't this drama and nothing compares,…
I still cannot believe how many people still can't get over The Untamed;))) It took me a while, but I recently decided to start The Lost Tomb and Candle in the Tomb series. Maybe give it a try also and see if it works to take your attention from the gorgeous The Untamed series.(low-key stalking the weibo for the movie with Wen Ning))) The actors in The Lost tomb keep on changing, but in all adaptations, the main leads and just perfect! Also...they are heading towards the brotherhood theme also, so not that much accent on female actors.

I watched the first episode of “The Untamed” and there were a lot of people that were turned into or taken…
Well, originally, the novel from which this is adapted, had corpses of people turn into 'kinda' zombies, but in China there is this censorship that doesn't allow for corpses themed dramas, so they named them puppets. And yes, there are quite a few. The main character that you saw in the 1st episode is the one that develops the 'puppet's idea even more. The first 2 episodes are taking place in the future, and afterwards, you can see from the end of episode 2 until episode 33 the past and how the main developed and what happens for them to reach until this certain point.

I am struggling with this too! It's been a looong time since I've been obsessed with something like this. I want…
Yeah, and the author also has a 4th novel in the works! Well, I know that the copyright for an audio-drama, live action and animation has been bought for a record amount of money, so unless they want to lose the money, I'm pretty sure they will do it sooner or later! Regarding lost tomb 3, I sure hope so! I mean..I have been waiting so much for The Wolf to air this year, that I'm slowly loosing patience! Hope lost tomb 3 will not follow in it's steps! China makes great content, but sucks at giving release dates! I mean...The Untamed aired without any promotion or trailer! Poof, suddenly the first 4 episodes were out:)))

Yah, in the pic you can see the MC from HOB. The one in white is Xie Lian and the one in red is Hua Cheng. Fan-arts are superb! The fact that there is only the novel, but so much content from the fans is wonderful. There is even more content than The Untamed before the drama. Hehe~Nirvana in Fire is bittersweet! The female lead is not very present...like...only few episodes, 1-2 kisses and that's all. Which for me is perfect! Kinda hate meaningless romance with crying female characters..Too overrated and cliche. The drama is political, revenge themed, ancient, historical feeling with martial arts. It is adapted from a novel, and people say that the 1st version of the novel of Nirvana in Fire was slightly BL, before the author revised it:))) In the novel there is no romance between the main characters. Only brotherhood. As for the ending..well..spoiler here: he kinda dies and doesn't die as they never find his body. There was an alternative ending where it is implied that he is alive, but the scene was deleted. The actually deleted the episode and re-uploaded it without that scene, Don't know why since I liked it:))) I'm also waiting for the Lost Tomb 3!!! Cannot wait for the next installment to air, hopefully this year, depending on the slot allotment when they can broadcast.

Soooo true!! Bromance dramas are really well rated and have many viewers..don't know why there aren't many dramas like this one out...In China at least..In Japan there are more. We already know officially that dramas like The Guardian, The Untamed and Nirvana in Fire are very well received and they don't have a female lead actress and tend to the bromance topic...Anyways! I think it will take a few years for HOB to be adapted. The Untamed took 3 years!! HOB is more complex and requires more green screen effects. There are so many well written BL novels out there that they can adapt from*sulks* These 2 cuties need to have a live-action adaptation!! https://i.pinimg.com/originals/24/4c/eb/244ceb98304443179b5417305623f770.jpg

Hahaha:)) Well, when I said similar, I was more referring to the suffering they go through. Physically and mentally, they are described in a different way. As a spoiler in case you didn't read HOB, Xie Lian is/was a prince who then become an heavenly official, then banished, then ascended to become an official, and then banished again and finally ascended for a 3rd time..over the course of 600-800 years! During all this time, Xie Lian suffers hunger, mental health problems, tries to kills himself..becomes the god of scraps and barely has a roof over his head. But unlike Wei Ying, he is..how can I say it...although powerful, his image is quite meek, whereas Wei Wuxian is visibly leaking resentful energy and dark in his suffering period. Nope..not seeing the actors from here as leads for HOB:))) two different peas in a pod.
