I rated a 10 to this drama before even watching it. Now I've started & on ep3 and it is still very confusing &…
:))) The first few episodes are a roller coaster since it presents vaguely so man y characters. The wonder of this drama is how they unveil who is who, what they want and what are their relationships with one another.:)))) hahahah:)) I clicked on the link below with the characters and the comments of the maker are gold:))
This drama sure has a nice budget! The costumes look very high quality and eye pleasing! I think Youku will have very good ratings when this will air, if they do the plot and ending justice! And Yunxi..no wonder he is always cast into costume dramas..he would look gorgeous even if they throw over him a white sheet instead of a robe and still look like he is from that time period.
The emperor dies in the last few chapters and gives Xiao Se ( Xiao Chuhe, the 6th prince, the favorite to ascend)…
He is, so probably they changed the script and he will have more scenes than in the novel. And yeah, I think it was implied that his mum us also Xiao Se's mum or at least related. Hope that someone will finish translating the novel at some point since it very good!

Yes, indeed, it is a friendship drama, with notes of comedy, political plot, martial arts and some slight romance that the drama will 100% make it bigger than it is needed.
The main plot though, it's Xiao Se's history: his past, his recovery of powers; the relationship with others, his would-be return to the imperial city and his many many assassination attempts from his enemies. Everyone rotates around him because they are his so-called guards that the Langya King ordered to protect him, as the future heir.
The monk, Wuxing, i would say, is more of a subplot and a tool that the author uses to protect Xiao Se, as in the novel, he doesn't has many scenes. The most he has is in the 1st part of the novel that has already been animated in 3D. The translation I read was pretty bad, but from what I understood, Xiao Se's mother and the monk's mother might be the same, making them brothers. But then again, i skipped alot since it wasn't very understandable in many parts.
A few spoilers for those who are interested in the novel ( a good novel that gets dragged alot; around 150 chapters…
The emperor dies in the last few chapters and gives Xiao Se ( Xiao Chuhe, the 6th prince, the favorite to ascend) the scroll that gives him the right to rule the kingdom. Instead of actually taking over the rule, he helps saving the kingdom from invasion and then decides that being an inn keeper is better than to be emperor:)))) The kingdom will be overseen the by younger brother of the emperor and Xiao Chong, one of the brothers. At the end, because the emperor loved the 6th prince too much, he saved him from the grief of being the new emperor, something he knew he didn't desire. ( the emperor made 2 scrolls: one with Xiao Se's name and one with Xiao Chong's name. So basically, he gave him the choice of doing what is best for his most favorite son: to take the throne or have an normal life). Very interesting this spin that the author did. Hope the live action will manage to keep some of that emotion).
There is a slight romance that probably in the drama it will be bigger, between Lei Wu Jie and Ye Ruo Yi.
The is a friendship between Xiao Se and SiKong ( Xiao Se, when asked by the emperor who he wants to marry, said that he doesn't wants RuoYi but Sikong; but again, in the novel the romance is at a bare minimum, no kisses, just camaraderie).
Overall, it's a happy ending! Nobody dies but along the middle of the novel, Tang Lian is considered dead; he returns in the last chapter, weak and still healing, so I would expect for the drama to actually kill him, since they always like tragic stuff in live-actions).
At the end, they kinda all return to their lives: LeiWuXie going around the jianghu and helping people, Xiao Se returns to his Snow Mountain Villa, Sikonk is implied that will be around him, kinda, Tang Lian healing. Wuxin, the monk, is also alive, and there will be some history between him and Xiao Se, reason of why he also supports him to ascend the throne throughout the novel.
A few spoilers for those who are interested in the novel ( a good novel that gets dragged alot; around 150 chapters could have easily be cut), regarding the ending:
Does anyone know where I might be able to read the novel in English if it’s available?
Try also this: https://wuxiaworldsite.co/289146/song-of-adolescence/chapter-1 After you finished the translated chapters. The ones from the link i put, has some MT that seem like someone edited them a bit to be understandable; at least enough to understand what is happening. I guess it will be a loong loong time or maybe even never, for someone also to pick this up, which is a shame, since it's very good. You can see Xiao Se's real potential barely at chapter 126.
I have a confession to make, and I think I was really such a lousy viewer in the past:Only today after watching…
:)))) there are even some fics out there with fancanon on how NHS personally knew MXY and manipulated him personally to commit the deed. The author really did a great job at creating so many interesting characters! Shame she didn't do any side stories that put accent on side characters
Another bl will start filming soon."my roommate is a detective"Give me more information if you know, or correct…
Not BL. And since I know many will ask, I will also say: not based on a novel, but on an original script. The original drama was slight brotherhood feeling and lots of comedic and some kind of awkward forced romance. I searched online on some chinese websites and apparently some say that it will air in october; others say that it will start filming in october..Hard to say. As for plot, even c-netizens are confused:)) thinking that it might just be a remake as it was popular:))) I'm also pretty confused with how so many sources believe something else!
I do believe that selling the rights to stream to another platform while not broadcasting in China is a very bad…
From what i knew, same-sex marriage is not legal in China? Correct me if i am wrong but i thought they have some kind of possibility of one being the guardian of another but it's not heavily implied that the couple is same-sex. Same can apply for friends ( as a friend being the legal guardian of another); and even to receive approbation to be one, it's very difficult. Besides, I think you underestimate the amount of people that are against pro-LGBTQ in China. 100 or milion pro against at least triple that amount mil against? All in all, China is a communist and conservatory country; it's as if trying to take religion out from religious countries. I think it will never be possible, as much as we, international people, want that to happen
so sad.. the links goes like this for me " Video unavailableThe uploader has not made this video available in…
Should work with a VPN if you cannot find the episodes on other websites:) Try with a IP from an Europe country. I am currently in Eastern Europe and it works
If they can't air it in China. They can try to sell it somewhere else like a Taiwan (tiawan not banned right?)…
I do believe that selling the rights to stream to another platform while not broadcasting in China is a very bad idea...Considering the huge cancel- culture in China, the actors themselves could be put in a very bad spotlight in the Chinese media. The government wants the image of Chinese men to change overall..not only in China, so that would be seen as the actors being anti-government..which..we all know how that can go..
If League of Noblemen has been licensed to broadcast, then we will have to wait until it airs to see how strict…
From what i understand from the novel, it isn't really BL..I only read the machine translated version while ago..but it gave me a more..mild friendship and less cute/more serious than The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty. So the strictness of the government shouldn't apply this for this factor..
:)) I am surprised of how many people dropped this because it has no romance. I mean..Most Chinese dramas, maybe around 95% have romance...Is romance that necessary to each and every drama? After so many syrupy and cliche recycled romances, some friendship dramas, are a breath of fresh air. Glad that both the producers of the drama, and the writer of the novel, didn't add any meaningless romances!

Got Shen Qingqiu and for some weird reasons, his sentence fits me 100%:)))) damn! "dumbass millenial. got a job by bullshitting ur way thru the interview."
People claim a ban has happened but nothing of such has been announced officially. It's pretty vague in the memo…
:))) Although legally there aren't yet any bans, weibo already implements them, kinda. Just saw the news that one of the chinese fanclubs of a BTS member got banned from weibo for paying for an airplane promotion:)) So, if they already do this shady thing with fans, pretty sure they will slowly implement it for actors as well with all their feminine, androgyny bans...
Damnnnnn wow!! The song's a fan made song for erha? Woah its beautiful!!
