Personally, I have read the machine translation that someone has already arranged a bit to be more understandable which was ok for me. Fortunately, that version is still up and can be downloaded, which I advise all fans to do since you never know when it will disappear also all of the sudden. I am also pretty bumped since 1 chapter per month means that the free translation would be done after more than 10 years which well...many things can happen in that time. Buying for most of us from Chinese websites is just so troublesome. I tried so many weeks for access World of Honor early episodes and I just wasn't able to do it because my payment wouldn't go through so it was a waste of time. Probably same would happen if I tried to buy the novel as well...If only they would have an international release to buy a hard copy...

From what i understand, the ones who are doing the translations want to do right by the author and allow mostly people who have already purchased the chinese novel and can do a proof of showing a receipt or something like that....Old gdrive links don't work anymore as they have moved all over here: https://2hatl.carrd.co/ . People who can make a purchase, will be able to read more chapters per month while those that are unable to, will read 1 chapter per month for free. What I understood, at least.

I know that most praises are for the main leads(and for right reason as they were wonderful in their role), but I have to admit that I loved the actors that played Scorpion King, A-Xiang, Wei Ning and Beauty Ghost! Hope to see them in more costume dramas and especially in main roles. I'll be honest and say that when i saw the age of the actor that plays Scorpion king, It was totally unexpected! He looks 10 years younger than his real age!

So disappointing to read and translate what Chinese watchers say about this postponement... Just read a few and people saying stuff like: "thunder is loud and the rain drops are small"or that they will prefer to don't even watch it when it airs because they believe that it's unjust that the drama hasn't aired! I mean...nobody in the team ever said a release date. Even 8 and 15 April are just rumored dates. Douban is also not a reliable website for release dates as I saw many animes there having release date in 2023 when they already aired for a few days before...

Something is for sure...If It doesn't air this month, it will be delayed until after end of August or even possibly next year. Olympics will take place in July-August and it's possible that at the TV there will be mostly talk about it and also, the no-costume-drama rule for 3 months ...The Golden Hairpin is also up to air soon after Long Ballad...I believe that the reason they don't air it this month, that it's possible for the drama to need to be censored more... Especially since it needed to pass another trial for censorship...

It's adapted from a BL novel. Never, no matter the budget, has there ever been real promo before release. Just promo from mouth to mouth and on personal social media from the actors or directors, in Immortality case. Why would they promo it if they can get censored before airing?

Probably not. They might air it as they do with long ballad now. The engsub is only on youtube and not on wetv. Or maybe we are lucky and they put it at the same time on wetv as they did with The Untamed

I also searched a lil bit online with google translate and apparently Chinese fans are also debating if Immortality will air now, considering that Long Ballad just aired. One of the newspapers said that while it's possible for it to air now also as Tencent might want to replicate what another website did and aired 2 different dramas that had different public of interest (best revenue ever at once), if they don't, then there are weak chances of it airing during next months as there are 2 other major dramas slotted to release then..Soo....we are in a sticky situation! I am re-reading the novel until drama gets released, but...is there any chance for that scene in the water with Wanning slipping to be adapted:))) chapter 127 would make a good comic relief considering all the drama that follows in book 3

Actually yes, Tencent also does that:)) Untamed didn't had a trailer released when it aired all of the sudden, didn't even had poster released until 12 hr before they released episodes. Immortality is a highly anticipated drama, so maybe there is hope that we will have a trailer before episodes start dropping..Maaaybeee

Since both WOH and HxK dropped with less than 24hr notice with trailer and episodes at once, I kinda expect this one will do the same...Crossing fingers it will drop in April though

Yep, like Navya replied already, in this one, there is only more friendship rather than that bromance feeling. Dramas like Untamed and Word of Honor are more up there in regards on borderline crossing censorship from bromance to romance. But it still is pretty good! Could have been better, but actors played their roles very well and fitted good together
