The conversation by the elevator with Sang Shik was a huge wakeup call, and knocked quite a bit of sense into him, if you mean maturity on the professional front. On the personal front, I don't see a lot of change in episode 8 vs where he was before? He's still a naive guy learning how to be a grow up, really. A friend watching likened him to Pinocchio, he's becoming a real boy lol
